Oh shit, I'm done with Twoism and BoC because some turncoat called me a fucking idiot. Time to eBay all my stuff. Go back to hanging with the cool kids, we all know we're just not on your level here.Alzado wrote:

Agreed. And I took a ton of e in the 90s and I'm miss mary sunshine these days. I'm not a cynical person at all, but sometimes I need a dose of watmm cynicism to keep from literally turning into a carebear.nickb523 wrote:I think you are taking the place to seriously... most posts on watmm are tounge in cheek and aren't intended to offend people.Opothecary wrote:
Well, you know that its like oil and water when you have a place that expresses an earnest enjoyment of a thing, and another place where everyone burned out the pleasure centers of their brain at least 15 years ago and can't feel anything anymore. That's really what it comes down to.
Anyway. Thread needs more gifs.
All of old. Nothing else ever. Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better.
Well I was going for vol 2, set my limit at 300 pounds. so much for that. Anyway if nothing else I'm glad we have some decent pics of the tapes and liner notes. I find that chick with the balloon particularly haunting.

This feud is disappointing. Can we not respect one another like decent people. I'm with nickb523 in that I post on both forums and enjoy both forums. This rivalry is just awful and pointless. For Pete (standing alone) sake, don't be prejudiced just because someone posts on a different forum that has a bad rep on the current forum. That goes for both watmm and twoism. I'm sick of threads getting derailed into this war. I want to read about my favourite music, not how watmm are a bunch of elitest assholes and twoism are just a bunch of stalker/fanboys. Get it together.
LET THERE BE PEACE BETWEEN TWOISM AND WATMM!

I'm a fan of BoC as opposed to an IDM fan in general, and I know BoC's past wishes regarding this material. Their wishes were that no one gets to hear them, at least for the moment.Opothecary wrote: If you are specifically a fan of BoC (as opposed to an IDM fan in general) you know their past wishes regarding these releases. I could see if you are an IDM fan first rather than a "BoC fan", being concerned about an individual artist's wishes for their work could elicit indifference or it may just seem bizarre to care.
Yet you listen to them. You must be indifferent about BoC's wishes for their work.
It's not some mystery man flogging these tapes, it's Mike Paranidas. If BoC have a problem with him selling the tapes then they can give him a ring and say "Hey Mike, it's the other Mike, listen can you not do that please?" We have no idea whether or not this has happened. We don't even know if BoC have given their assent to this auction.
One thing we do know for sure is that BoC don't want people listening to low quality illegal bootleg copies of their juvenilia. You listen to them, yet you are prepared to condemn someone legally selling the original tapes, even though you don't know the facts behind the sale.
That makes you a massive hypocrite. Either stop expressly disobeying (in hushed tones) The Brothers wishes and delete your illegal, unauthorized, explicitly forbidden copies of their music, or stop having such double standards.

Until they take down entries 10, 13, 41, and 111 from their official (free) Youtube channel, I will consider it fair game to have this material in my possession.Ciaranarchy wrote:I'm a fan of BoC as opposed to an IDM fan in general, and I know BoC's past wishes regarding this material. I'm sort of with Joyrex on this... the normal rules of what's cool and what's not with trading unreleased bootleg stuff kinda goes out the window when
a) you run a record label and it's not someone on your roster
b) you price them to gouge (they came down from £999 each)
c) there's rumours they're due for some kind of legitimate release
Joe Schmoe selling his copy most people probably wouldn't bat an eyelid.
Edit: the inter forum drama though is super fucking obnoxious
