Never thought of the brothers hearing Rush but I guess living in Canada in the 70/80's they couldn't get away from them! Almost certain they would think it was "overtly wack" as Mike D once put it!thinkdontpray wrote:nope, wish i had that on 8 track. it was fly by night, one of if not my favorite rush recordsTorn n Frayed wrote:What Rush Lp? I bet it was 2112.thinkdontpray wrote:i really wish BoC or any band for that matter would release an album on 8 track. i know its not feasible in fact its down right stupid but after rocking some elton john and rush on the old deck today i really want BoC 8 tracks

The only live stream i've watched via Warp in the past is when Clark did his Iradelphic Workshop session. Any ideas of what to expect with Boards, will it be a video stream with images/video or purely audio only? I'd love to see the bros appear, but we all know that's never going to happen.
I told myself i'd wait until i got the album in my hands, but i can't take it any longer, gotta listen to it! Hopefully no streaming/lagging issues will occur.

The only live streaming doo dah I ever bothered with was when Iamamiwhoami did that live gig / conceptual whatever it was and in all honesty I was thoroughly disappointed in the whole process. I'm as keen to hear the album as the next wo/man but I'd rather do it when it suits me. Plus it's only a week off till the album comes out innit.
When we come home, we want it quiet and calm,
We want you to sing us a song.

EPIC drumming!Torn n Frayed wrote:Indeed! I am a drummer because of them so I love them too.
I miss that type of drumming, like 60s 70s ish they just don't do it like they used to. I used to like fast intricate patterns but have recently acquired a taste for "less is more". I've actually come to really appreciate how simple comtruises drums are and I frequently slow down his tracks to 82%-86%. One may not like his music overall but he doesn't piddle his percussion to death. Love his tom/bongoish fills too! He gives just enough so I want more. I find his patterns refreshing now, once tho, I might have clowned such simpleness... anyway

After slaving away on a project over the weekend, my boss has agreed to let me work from home tomorrow and cut out an hour early.
I'll be listening to an 8 hour playlist I put together of all their studio work, including 2 hours of all killer no filler Old Tunes/35RTT and a couple choice remixes while I (try to) work before it starts. I'm ready!

What time is it set to stream at down under mate?coffeeandtv wrote:So I woke up at 6am today all ready for the album transmission. Went to the website and nothing had changed, started to doubt my sanity, then I realised it's scheduled for tomorrow morning which is the 4th here in Australia!
I'm in Melbourne.
I won't cry if I miss it, as it's released next week, but if it's on at a reasonable time I might tune in at work.
Thanks!
