Definitely the standout track on this album for me. Hearing a lot of new romantic/synthpop influence in it. It has this wonderful loping pace to it that develops into one of the most bittersweet melodies BOC has made since old tunes. Actually a lot of this has oldtunes homages in it. Also, i feel like this is one track that would be awesome with some vocals over it. Like imagine late 80's David Sylvian crooning wistfully over it. And then that lil cosecha transmission nod in the end. This one is the sweetness.

I love the Old Tunes but don't really feel the connections everyone is making between that stuff and this album...that said, yeah this track is a classic. The rhythm feels so dancable but the synths on top bring it back down to earth. the change in mood at the end really is brilliant though
I saw my future. I saw my past. For a few minutes it was like being alive.
This album feels like a movie. This song is near the end of the movie, and the protagonists are walking away into the sunset. There have been casualties, many, but life goes on.

I think there's some relation to 14a from random 35 track... almost sounds like they unearthed part of that melody
The guitar almost has an electrical quality to it, actually reminded me of Christ's (the former hexagon sun member) ray breakout:

I'm not sure how to explain it, but I totally get the old tunes comparisons on this album. Even though so much on here is heavy there's a playfulness on some of the songs that seems sort of old tuney to me. Like a lot of it came from just bouncing stuff around and then they tightened it up.
I like the chord progression in this song.

Yeah, this one and Come to Dust are my favorites, and right next to each other. But this is one of those albums where when I'm listening to it, every other song becomes my favorite song at that moment. It's Palace Posy right now... until that track is over.

14a is a huge favourite of mine, I like the almost early Depeche Mode quality it has. About half way through New Seeds I suddenly thought "oh shit, this is straight out of 14a". And then just as it ends it fades into the clue jingle and I was all
The sound at the beginning in the left ear sounds like a cellphone signal picked up through a nearby speaker/clock/radio. Also, does anyone feel like when the song starts picking up with the percussion that it feels like it's speeding up in tempo bit too? Weird illusions! I think this song is a nod to young artists using their "modern" gear for found sounds in experimental recordings...but I've probably just spun a 180.

Sort of same image I have in my head, and Come to dust is a brilliant end credits track when it kicks in fully.

I actually thought some of the tracks sounded like developments on certain Old Tunes tracks and demos, so I understand that comparison. There was one track that had a quick repetitive synth part that really reminded me of audiotrack 14A. I'm not sure which one it was. Did anyone else pick up on that?
