It is just so good I love it I love it I love it.
I realised an orchestral cover of this song would probably blow my balls off when I walked past the concert hall listening to it. I wish I had the skillz to make such a thing happen

It sounds like the brothers used those sounds to make part of the rhythm of New Seeds. You can hear it very well at the very beginning of which the whole song builds off of. Does anyone else hear that? Or at least know what I mean?
ahhh ok, so after i looked up a little more about that ringtone i just posted about, i think we're talking about the same thing -- that ringtone is one of the default rings on my phone and it's totally based on that kind of interference
That's funny, I didn't know someone made a ringtone out of it.... yeah, I wouldn't be surprised it BoC recorded that sound and messed with it. Or it could just be a super treated guitar or synth, who knows. It really reminds of the interference blip though. Pretty cool.

i've noticed the aforementioned interference on many occasions, it's a good way to predict calls outloud and spook your friends. i agree that the lead rythm sounds almost identical to it, and not mention audiotrack 14a
it seems that sound has preceded these"interferences" and the fact they sound alike is an interesting happening

this song is quickly becoming one of my favorites on the record

it feels like it was pulled straight from the old tunes collection.

i almost want to add some tape hiss to it

Ha! Yes I have freaked out a few friends that way too.....

But I think Audiotrack 14a is definitely a synth, although the synth does possess similar qualities to that of the interference sound. I'm not so sure if the sound on New Seeds is a treated synth or guitar or the real interference sound being manipulated or not. I suppose it's just all speculation unless BoC lets us in on some of there recording techniques in interviews.... And I highly doubt that.

What makes this track to me is that little bar piano tinkle in the background!

Lovely track.

Listening to this now... ahhhhh, the ending section with that melody that comes in when the beat quiets down, it gives me chills every time. They do just the right chord progression so that it's not exactly what you expect but just what you wanted.

But where are you listening to it from?

I'm sure there's a download out there, but is there an upload that people have been listening to or something? it's not on youtube.

Edit: Never got an answer but now it actually is on youtube

Awesome song!!! But somehow I really get the feeling listening to God Is An Astronaut, at least the first 3:40 :)

Has anyone else noticed that most of the sounds in this song are made from that phone interference that plays over speakers sometimes? Don't believe me? Listen carefully... the first minute minus the bass, drums, and boc chordsy synth that comes in is all a sample of that feedback.

Really enjoy this one. Very surprising start - I almost felt like it was break into some sort of funky breakbeat (was quite glad it didn't though).

The chord change at 3.56 took me massively by surprise and brought a big smile to my face - the sort of thing BoC does which makes them uniquely them. Absolutely love the XXXXXX music at the end as well, a lovely touch.

Didn't click on me on first listen, but I must admit it's a pretty good song which ending is insanely good - especially the cosecha fade-out.

To me it sounds like a mix of cellphone interference and electric guitar.

I think it's funny how many times the phone interference has been mentioned in this thread, yet there's still posts saying Hey this sounds like interference from a cellphone.
