I actually flows really well....absurdedly well IMO but I'd like to hear what you guys think. Not that there la anything wrong with the original track order at all but some of the transitions are a bit jarring and in my order it's not at all the case

Like I said though I'm not implying these tracks are paired up to their sister tracks but its interesting to say the least.
so this is how im going to be listening to the album from now on..it just works better for me. ending with collapse is a bit odd...the song ends with a whoosh..as if the air is being taken out of a room...perhaps the last sound one would hear after an atomic bomb hits
Giving it a run through as we speak.....

You could be on to something there... The brother's said in their Guardian interview:
There's a palindromic structure centred around the track Collapse in the middle.

i do like the flow personally but i think that the order i placed them in is too obvious for BoC

So their idea was for the album to be pulled apart and resequenced?
Thanks for figuring this out!

Could someone give BPM for every track in order? Has anyone tried layering any tracks on top. Of each other to reveal the hidden messages?

Yeah I want to listen to it in that order to hear the "sister tracks" side by side.

I also think we shouldn't take palindromic too literally. If it were a literal palindrome you wouldn't have to listen to it in reverse order (ie track 17, 16, 15...) because it would be exactly the same. It's not like that. It's just that either side of the album each song has a similar song. It's not like you can spell "racecar" in reverse. It's exactly the same.

On the other hand you can listen to this in reverse track order and see how that is. I think it's a lot more interesting that way than if it were literal palindrome.

Just got the iTunes preorder and all I can say is that the digital booklet (PDF version of the paper booklet from the CD) is gorgeous. A real piece of art.

Just listened to the album today. I have to say its up there with the best. I think the album is somewhat reminiscent of Geogaddi in parts. I was rather surprised that it wasn't something completely different from them. But in saying that they have their signature sound that is weaved throughout their discography. I would give the album a 9/10.

Hi Yoda

I was thinking something similar the other day though, i mean there was 21000+ people listening to the live stream wasn't there? if each one of those ordered a copy of the vinyl.... well... might explain the photo above
