I went to the anagram generator and the first result for apocalypse is Palace Posy. Would it be that easy/obvious? I think there is either much more, or they are just having some fun with us.

I looked at the anagram generator and I think it's just the most appealing sounding of the anagrams. It has a nice ring of it's own and the rest seem too much like "that's gotta be an anagram". I can't believe no one caught it until a few days ago, even though I kept wondering "wtf is a palace posy?"

I think that's the easy part, given the theme. The hard part is the next step, finding out how to use that info, the boys said it's their most cryptic album, so I am going full Talmudic scholar on it!

In the U.S. we say "ashes, ashes we all fall down" fwiw. Yeah it's hard to think of another time anyone uses the word "posy", it's pretty outdated.

i would say this is very important. right in line with the owl of wisdom and the "only flies at dusk". also the jacquard sentiments of degrowth as a means by which to curb further damage to the environment & civilization...

if the boys are being more nihilistic, it would seem as though they're telling us it's too late, and the human race may only truly understand the damage they've done after the fall.

Edit: I also find it ironic that of the two Jacquards that could potentially be referenced, one created a machine of efficiency and mass production (although notably faulty) and the other warned against such things.
