I have 3 kids. They don't know BoC because I work away from home. I usually play Frescia on road trips.

No sympathy required for me just yet.

While I am a bit spaced out from driving back and forth, it would be horrendous for me to complain, after the shifts the mother is currently putting in at the hospital.

Good luck to you @A_N_S

What a lovely thread! Congrats on the little one, a fantastic pic really made me smile.

I can't comment on being a father, but my daughter turned 15 this week and has been listening to my music all her life. Recently her own music choices took a turn that made me smile. Despite going to an all girls school where the pupils are mostly orange from fake tan, she has never gone down the boy band or crappy pop music route and really makes me proud.

The guys on here have been really supportive to me, especially about 8 years ago, maybe more when I had loads of trouble getting her to settle in the evening. A special mix was made for her, that she still listens to and still loves.

Being a parent is the most amazing thing ever and I wish you all the best mate.

Looking after my toddler son this morning with The Campfire Headphase on the stereo.
He was playing with his toys a few minutes ago when Dayvan Cowboy started and within a few notes he looked up with a smile on his face, pointed at the stereo, then me and said 'Oohhh, Daddy!'
Congratulations to everyone on here on new births and ones to come. It's the simple moments like this that make it all worthwhile.

As I mentioned in a post earlier in this thread, I had done a mix for my little one whilst in the womb and on the outside. It's a fairly calming piece, with nothing too testy or obnoxious on there. Obviously it's geared towards kids so the overriding themes are catchiness and relaxation. I did put some thought into the sequencing, wanting to start with gentle sounds progressing into a watery, amniotic vibe and then onto a pulse-yness to emulate mummy's heartbeat, then it's a free for all but with a gentle, restful lullaby conclusion.

Expectants and new dads (and old ones) use it if you want.

Presenting:

Music for Nurseries

PS: Don't know if I'm breaking Twoism protocol by posting this. Please take down if I am - there's no BoC on it btw.
