Tomorrow's Harvest Listening Party: Austin TX

Post by softfokus »

anybody in the area is welcome. this is a tentative plan. it sort of hinges on being able to secure a physical vinyl copy at a local record store tomorrow. i pre-ordered it though, so i'm mainly talking about issues outside of my control. just something to think about if you are planning on making a drive. there might be a projector involved. I just wanted to extend an invitation to you fine folks.

:(

I would go, but I
a) have to work tomorrow and
b) already have a listening party set up for myself and a friend driving down from, you named it, Austin.

Ah well. Hope you all have fun!

Though actually a better idea: why don't you take a copy of the record two hours north of you and listen to it at the People's Temple site in Waco? Seems like a very BoC place to listen to BoC.

that would be incredibly cool, but i'm not sure i could convince people to go that far. this is gonna be a more informal thing, and then i'll probably get a close friend and do something more along those lines. great idea though!

a couple of photos from the party. we projected the andromeda strain while we listened to the album. i would highly recommend this. they complimented each other well.

Wow, there could not be a better choice of film to project. The Andromeda Strain is the MUTT'S NUTS of 1970s pre-apocalyptic sci-fi.
