I'm going to buy a second copy of the vinyl at my local record shop

Which is what I did for the vinyl in the end. Still no sign of my Bleep package, which is disappointing, as they've normally been pretty reliable. Of course I'm going to chase them up about it if there's no sign in a week's time. In addition to the vinyl, I have a CD and t-shirt I'm waiting for.

I think this was intentional. Warp knows how dedicated BOC's fan base is. They know we would go out to purchase additional copies if our preorders have not arrived on time. It was a way to boost sales.

My wife felt bad that my LP has not come and bought me the CD for Father's Day in the meantime.

I wish they were as quick with their orders as they are with their support email responses.

Was told:

We have even been shipping orders to the United States from the United States specially on this occasion.

And that there could be a slight delay. And that US customers should be getting a tracking email... (though I have gotten one)

Not sure this helps anyone though.

I'm in Alberta Canada, spent 45 minutes during the crashing Bleep server preorder massacre and still without vinyl, tshirt, tracking, or a response from anyone regarding my order.

This is complete shit. I was also VERY shocked that they charged my credit card within days of my preorder, I thought it was common courtesy to only charge when the order actually ships?

Either way, unless there is some overwhelming reason to preorder from Warp/Bleep again, they can shove it. I feel like a goddamn fool for obsessing over having vinyl in my hands and actually listening to it on day one - and yes, I've held off on listening to anything other than "the first 3-ish" songs.

Yay, you included the digital downloads for me, and a few days early. That's great. That's not what I wanted though. I want my fucking vinyl I paid for, and I want it on the day it was supposed to be released. Think I'm being over dramatic? Well, if I went to my local record shop I would have it by now, silly me, thinking ordering from the source would make me feel better about giving my money more directly to the artist/management that puts out something I want. Nope, it didn't.

Since the nearest record store that actually took preorders was about an hour away from me I still think buying from Bleep was the right choice.

Still slightly pissed that I haven't gotten mine yet though, since a lot of US orders seem to have originated in Ann Arbor, MI.

This could well be true, and if so, it's extremely clever on warp's part but could be very detrimental to Bleep's reputation. Having said this, it would be difficult not to just jump on the preorder bandwagon if boc or aphex twin or any such reputable and rare artist were to release something. I think we as boc fans have an inherent fear that everything they release will be sold out within seconds, this is probably due to previous stuff going for hundreds on discogs etc.

On this topic, any label insiders or friends of, know the quantity of this vinyl pressing? Something tells me, this ain't gonna sell out anytime soon.

Where did you get that info? Ann Arbor is 40 min. away from me. I should have it by now.

Just got my confirmation email from Bleep..it was sent out on the 10th which is BULLSHIT. It's going to be here on the 17th. I'm honestly too mad to even describe right now.

It would be hard not to preorder. I ordered Trans Canada Highway from Bleep in '06 and got a sticker and the Dayvan Cowboy DVD. And I always remember the 2-disc version of Quaristice selling out within an hour. But now that I think of it, didn't Campfire Headphase not come with any extras either? Maybe if there is a closely following EP there might be somethin'.

The Bleep Pre-orders of The Campfire Headphase came with a fold out mini poster with a bio on the back, also came with 2 promo stickers, an orange vinyl sticker and a blue paper sticker.

I have to confess that the fear of it being sold out did made me order the moment is was up for pre-order. I don't believe that Warp does this intentional. They want to earn money and will always try to press the amount that they think will be sufficient. They don't want to take any risk in pressing too much... but eh,what is the right amount?

i went to Amoeba to get a second copy as i can't be depending on Bleep or USPS.
me and another BoC head were inspecting the 10 or so copies left looking for one that had the least damage. unfortunately nearly all the copies in the racks had little corner bends, damaged spines, the printer inner sleeves look to have lots of splits too. and these would have been sent in a batch. individual copies sent might look even worse, just putting it out there for those already annoyed with the delays, that there could be more frustration when they arrive.
