Boards of Canada reissues

Post by AF »

hi mates

i mailed bleep to ask for it and here´s the answer

----------
Jun 12 23:24 (BST):

Hi Bleep team

have you got plans to re-issue any of the older Boards of Canada albums on vinyl?

Please do it!! we are waiting for it!! :D

DM, Jun 13 12:49 (BST):

Hi there,

These are not currently available. However they are not deleted so will be repressed at some point.

Best wishes

Represses? Impossible. BoC are irrepressible.

This is indeed good news though :)

I hope this is a joke at Bleep's expense over their shoddy job of getting TH preorders to people like me who ordered Day 1 and STILL don't have them..if they repress the back catalogue, here's hoping it gets to the people who buy it in a reasonable amount of time.

I think they are going to be relatively timely with the reissues as this album is charting everywhere and the hipsters are going to need the old stuff on vinyl

Came to me @Montreal on the 12th, that's weird, should have been in the same batch!

Just putting my name to this as well, really really want some reissues. I sold all my BoC vinyl about ten years ago (due to needing money at the time, unfortunately, something i never wanted to do) and really want these back.

Perhaps it would be better to ask Warp directly rather than Bleep, as the decision to repress them would probably begin with them. Bleep are just the distribution arm of Warp as far as I'm aware.

Yeah, tell me about it. I mentioned in another thread that my neighbour who preordered Day 1 like me got his yesterday, and I did not. My luck, it will be there today but I wont even be able to listen to it probably cos I am supposed to leave for NXNE tonight..fuck my life this week. :?

Yes, a shoddy job.
Still waiting for my pre order of TH which I managed to order after trying for more then an hour.
Could have bought the album a week ago in Amsterdam.

Well, now all we need is a Warp confirmation and I can stop myself restraining from waving cash at discogs

Still could be a long way down the line. Hopefully not though. I have most of em, but would like to pick up MHTRTC anyway. I wouldn't trust bleep at the minute, could just be saying that to take the heat off their fucked up shipping job. And I agree, if it was Warp or MDG that said for sure, I would believe it, but Bleep, not so much.

I ordered the minute it was announced too, and still no sign of it. And i'm in Ireland. Even worse you UK guys haven't received. How can that make any sense when they are sticking to they were shipped on the 5th. Makes no sense, post from UK to ireland can be slow at times, but UK to Uk?? I don't see how amazon and all these places got theirs in on time for release, then posted them out as normal to customers, who have also received well before us pre-order guys. Also I'm hearing a lot of bad things on Facebook and i think on here that a lot of the sleeves were fairly shredded! Seen a pic and was very bad. Bleep would probably blame it on the post, but would seem fishy if people in completely different places are getting wrecked sleeves.

Yeah I seen that, I mean if he actually gave us definite confirmation, and maybe a timeframe. Thats just hinting, and if i'm not wrong, this has been going on for some time.

It could be worse - I preordered the Amon Tobin represses which came out June 1 and all I get is "order is being processed".
