Don't you like the mystery? I think thats one of the great things that is BoC.
The mystery is what got me into BoC in the first place... and all the little secrets in their tracks... I was, in fact, kinda sad when they said in interviews all the secrets they put in their tracks are just for fun and nothing more but jolly good fun... made it a bit more bland to me...
Don't believe everything you read in interviews, besides the music is more of importance to me than the alleged mysteries.

Hell, I dont see why BoC should of thought "if we put this webpage advertising a nice thing in nature called the redmoon, they might think its a gig". But then again, It would be intrested too what all the codes meant, I think they will mean something as they are not the type just to put random numbers to look all "werid" and "cryptic", but you never know again.
What I'm saying is I dont think its BoC messed or does mess us about, just some people out there who crave for attention. Plus this is why me and many other fans (and yourself) or wary of things like this and even the myspace page because people like to fuck people about. But I just wait for proof and be optimistic until their is.
Back on topic, I would like the Redmoon incident to come up if their were a interview, after all it did cause such a puzzle with the fans and I'd like to know how BoC feel to have such strong and dedicated fans.
I agree with the point of that Red Moon shit - it was all a buzz that was started by us internet folk. Boards never officially confirmed anything. I mean, of course it's understandable how it could have gotten started since they put it up on the "Contact" section of their website, right? And how it could have possibly signalled a "secret gig" or at least there being a chance of them showing up somewhere to maybe meet with fans?
When all is said and done though, I really wouldn't bother them about it. A simple question about it may be valid, such as "What was the idea behind the posting of that?" But otherwise, nah.. they're just musicians who enjoy writing and recording music, they don't owe any one of us a damn thing.

The background and atmosphere is just as important.I figured with my myspace that whenever I put up a new background, the music sounds very different.If BoC would release there music like say...50 Cent, the music would sounds less good.

On the one hand BOC prefer to be mysterious as they believe that in the age of instant gratification people should maybe wait for things or have teh truth revelaed slowly rather than all at once. On the other hand, the release of The Campfire Headphase saw BOC trying to demistify things somewhat as in their abscence loads of ridiculous nonsense had been written about them.
So, whilst we have half a dozen interviews where they come across as normal guys making extraordinary music instead of shadowy, psuedo-religious mind controllers and they talk openly about how they go about creating the musc we also get "g60h p5-2omh g2h2.t 0-n" and no firm idea about what they're up to regarding old tunes and lives dates. Which is how it should be as far as they're concerned.
Asking them direct questions about what they're up to and basically when we will get our next fix will probably get us nowhere. I'm not saying don't ask "what happened on 10th June?" or "can you confirm that there's a boxed set of old stuff in the pipeline" just don't expect full and frank answers.
In my opinion the type of questions BOC are more likely to answer and are probably more interested in are more general queries about their art.

Agreed, they owe us diddly jack squat! But it would sure be nice of them to clear up a few things...

I love their music and I reallly feel it. I am thankful that they brought it to me in any way and did not keep it for their family & friends.

Who knows, someday I'll gonna try to visit them when travelling around scotland (which I am planing in the far future). But for now I am being VERY thankful for creating this wonderful sounds.

I recently read a quote by BoC in one of their interviews, I carnt find it and I carnt be arsed skimming through the whole interview page again.
It was pretty much saying, if they had it their way they wouldnt want to be promoted etc and it made me thingk why would they think " hey myspace cool like take this and promote us and add loads of friends". I think Warp might of been pulling your leg when they said BoC is interested. IMO.

Mike: We'd much rather that people find our music by themselves, you know, so that it's something that feels like it belongs to them. If it was up to us there would be no promotion for our music at all. MHTRTC was a one-off moment of magic you can't possibly repeat - because of the aforementioned situation. Wasn't it? Is it fair to expect another album of such class? Best thing to do in a situation like this is to disappear for good... and let legend begin.

yeah i believe that the 'official' myspace has nothing to do with the brothers sandison or with warp records. dont get me wrong joshkowski seems to be a good guy...not a bullshitter but something is wrong with the picture....
on a sidenote i was thinking i dont like the song names on TCH...for some reason there bad to me...it seems like theyre we're trying for too obscure...
