Recently, while looking for a watch, I stumbled upon a label-les cassete tape.
I just love finding label-les tapes and getting a kick of discovering something intresting....anyway..
If you want to record it onto your computer, I'd suggest just using a 3.5mm plug from the headphones socket of the tape player to the line-in port on your PC. And then you'd just need to use a program like Audacity to record it with.
Newbie here! Just noticed your comments re Audacity. I've only just started using this program but have found it very limited so far. Are there any decent online guides to it's features?
I don`t agree....there is plenty to do with it, of course its limited, but wadda ya expect from a free audio edit program. If you want unlimited control , you will have to buy cool edit pro or something...
Agreed - I think I've just been spoiled in the past using Cool Edit Pro! I've no doubt that Audacity is more than capable, I just haven't got the best out of it yet. For a free program it seems fantastic.
Thanks for posting these, I wasnt about when you posted about the tape but now that you uploaded them they are great.
I love the start of track 2 and 3, sounds of outside, very nice.
It must be great too discover this sort of stuff, makes it a whole lot better when you find something you dont know about in a record shop or your own home.
