not sure if i can lose yet another month of work in the build-up to a film release. who am i kidding? :P

the 22nd will only be the first clue - an old VHS tape shows up at Amoeba wrapped in plain paper with only the BOC logo. it is one of six hundred and sixty six VHS tapes each with a single video image of a number (appearing at about 5 hours 59 minutes - doh!), that when entered into the website in the proper order, will unlock a video preview of an upcoming BOC directed documentary film. but here's the kicker - the whole thing is done in interpretive dance, in real time, for 90 minutes. what a treat!

i think a film is the logical progression of things but i could be wrong. whatever does happen (if anything) is just icing at this point. we got the release, and will have loads of fun making little discoveries for ages. if they have made upgrades at home to sort this and that, i'd feel safe getting hopes up a little to a small release here and there without such an extended period of silence.

Or this! Well, not this… but definitely this… or not…!!! Could it be this?

thats the spirit!
lets go with your version. i should have been more clever about the numbers ... of course.

the more i think it could be a film, the less i think it would actually be about them and more something they are concerned about/ interested in ... only made by them.

I was thinking in the way of old sci-fi dystopian films of the 70-80s about the collapse of the current civilisation state, I could see them well against the bankers/religions/politicians trio poly(?) and the theme could be how this comes about…

well I think Twoism.org have a new project if 20130822 turns out to be nothing…

While that would be glorious, Chris and Ron are sort of antithetical to one another.

So, I'm currently in the throes of attempting to do just this. I want to shoot and/or compile enough footage to tell a visual story parallel or complimentary to the auditory one. If anyone in the Los Angeles area or elsewhere is interested in collaborating please let me know - the more help the merrier. So far nothing is solidified, but lately I'm leaning towards an 'Animatrix' style compilation wherein different directors tell individual stories within the same universe with an overarching theme to the whole thing. I've started storyboarding and compiling ideas for shots, locations and narrative and the more I do the more I'm compelled to continue and make something truly great.

Part of me is fairly certain (and terrified) that Boc, Warp, Krug and Co are already making a TH film- but even if it were to come out tomorrow I still feel compelled to make something that approaches the level of awesomeness visually that the album does sonically.

Sounds like an awesome adventure, I wish i could join in but not at all in the area. Enjoy!

BTW have you seen the Gemini opening sequence done by a fellow twoist in the next topic? Maybe some collaboration with that OP?
