My first (finished) tune.

Just thought I'd share this here since there are "one or two" fans of electronic stuff.

This is the first tune from what I hope will become an ep/lp.

It will probably make more sense in the context of the ep/lp but just thought I'd share it anyway.

Awesome!

The beginning of this track reminded me SO much of the "soundtracks" to the game Minecraft. I was really digging the rest of the track, and the vocals fit really well. Fantastic quantized key and ride sound. The melody is perfect. It sounded fantastic on my end.

@Zeitgeist: LOL, I'd never played Minecraft but watching a gameplay video, you're right, it is quite reminiscent of it. :lol:

Yeah, it's a bit uncanny, but that was hardly a dig--I really like the piano. Still really love this whole track. It looks like you have more stuff coming?

Really enjoyed that. The second half reminded me a little of Radiohead! The tune is really strong and I think as you get more experience of production you'll be able to make the track even stronger.

Thanks very much, glad you like it. Yes, more to come, just deciding which tune to record next.

Thank you too! (I take the Radiohead comparison as a compliment).

And you're right, the production isn't perfect by any means - alas it's my first time recording solo from scratch. Plus I'm not using a DAW, just a Tascam 2488 MkII, 24 track. It'll do for now.
