well we where told in junes news letter about clarks album.

squarepusher was in a different mail i guess. so we have to wait till the end of august or even the end of september to find out if its true? bollox.

and that a boc set was bound to come this year we all knew! it's written in one of those foreign interviews! (don't recall which one anymore right now but someone probably will)

Don't know if they (BoC) had already said that in another interview but i found interesting to know:

A> Boards of Canada regarding their website
B> Some big chief from Warp Records regarding their website

ffs, I think we all know that their probley WILL be a box set since BoC have mentioned it and there has apprently been talk of it. But this fool knows nothing I think, We just dont know when its gunna be out and I think it'll be a while.

Well I guess people assumed that the "if you're on the Warp mailing list" comment was meant as such but strictly speaking, no-one.

To recapitulate:

Maersk said we'd get this message so either he's on the 'in' or it's a hoax. 50/50. 0 points.

Archival got his source to confirm it in principle not detail, presumably independently of Maersk. 1 point

Warp denied it, but they lied before. Still 1point.

Nothing on the August news letter. Tricky. If it's not, why not. could be it's too soon but then why are these insiders leaking it. Still 1 point

So despite ther being no concrete proof, I give this 1 point for the independent verfication by Archival. I'd probably only give it half but I carried a bit of residual good-will from Maersk as he didn't make any obvious mistakes.

I have been a fan of BOC long enough to learn to be patient.
In fact, my all-time favorite bands (Tool, BOC and NIN) made me wait almost half my life for new releases.
I'm not the one wasting 10 topic pages bitching about being fake or not being fake.
It seems pretty clear to me: until its from music70 or warp, pretty much everything else is fake.
So maybe you could all cut the crap at the very beginning and try to waste your time online on more productive things for fuck sake.
