I dislike that style of mixing. I hear what you are saying, but I'm purposely avoiding those kind of tricks. The contrast of sound qualities within the cutups is part of the enjoyment for me.

Have any bands or artists ever effectively combined IDM and old school heavy metal? That's kinda what I'm going for on this

I'd really like to know what you guys think about this one. I really put a lot of time into the production.
Great job on this track my friend, it's really well done.
Thanks man!

Hi guys! What do you think of this? I've been really into this guy called Evil Needle recently. Tried to add some of his style on to mine. :)

Here's what I think about it: it's wonderful! Very crisp production and great melodic structure. :P

I'm going to be releasing a tape on a friend's small (real small) label sometime in the fall, Lily Tapes & Discs: http://lilytapesanddiscs.tumblr.com/

anyway, here are a couple of items from what I've been working on. much different than the kinds of stuff I last posted here, but there you are:

When trying to distance myself a bit from IDM songs recently, I've somehow managed to write possibly my most BoC-influenced song of all time

I've been working in between the album I made with Tape Sounds on a new Caves album. Here's something from those sessions.

I would like some constructive criticism because labels have denied me and I'm wondering why? Any info on what I should do would be greatly appreciated!

Makes me think my music actually sucks and only my close friends like it, ha ha. Link below.

Been trying to concentrate on singles lately , as I went through a phase of releasing albums and only really showing up every 6 months , so, im trying to have a bit more of a consistent presence now , and here are a few things I've released just in the last few weeks

Every track is completely different.
Thanks to anyone who listens

my most innovative work yet

i was going to have a guitarist do the lead over it but im far too impatient to wait that long so i spent much time developing the track in itself, vocals, sound etc.
