To be honest I've always been more interested in the gorgeous Hope Sandoval than the music because to me Mazzy Star is like Grouper on anti-depressants (hehe), but I will be listening to this and I will definitely go see her if she plays in my country this fall.

I hear that. What a great band. If it approaches anything close to Common Burn then I will be so happy.

There is something so brilliant about how simple they are. Its a charming and unique simplicity I really dig and only find with Mazzy Star.

wow this is turning out to be a fantastic year musically. I've been listening to Beach House a lot lately and have to say on occasion lyrically they remind me of mazzy star and siouxsie at times.
