Whoa, someone needs to slow this bird down.

That being said, I guess we can end it with a Farewell Flier.

You could feel the SKY.

Makes a lot of sense. Birds can feel the sky.

I think it's a fair bet they are actually keen birders like myself. Using bird song in many of their tracks like these from the top of my head.

Pete Standing Alone - Willow Warbler
In The Annexe - Blackbird
The Smallest Wierdest Number and Chromakey Dreamcoat - Curlew
Happy Cycling - Herring Gull
Oscar See Through Red Eye - Robin
Rue The Whirl - House Sparrows

And a sparrowhawk (a bird I regularly see and admire) on the cover of In A Beautiful Place Out In The Country.

I'm starting to think maybe a Scottish bird reserve may be good places to bump into Marcus and Mike.
Christ I'm quoting myself here. There is a Robin embedded in In A Beautiful Place Out In The Country.

As well as House Sparrows again on Music Is Math.

In Annexe also has a blackbirds alarm call 3/4 of the way through as well.

I wonder what else I'll find or will come apparent. ;-)

Not so many birds in Tomorrow's Harvest (besides the possible birds I've found starting@1:52 Nothing Is Real as mentioned by paultomba).
I guess birds are not part of the "new seeds"?
btw love this topic thread and wanted to bump it, it's one of my favorites...I am now always listening for birds

Love the birds tweeting in 'Satellite Anthem Icarus'. It took me years to realise the tweeting was there lol, now I cant unhear.

Never noticed until now that in the 2005 Wire magazine (Rob Young interview) on the left side of Marcus' photo on pg.43 there's a caption "Thanks to the Scottish Ornithologists' Club". This part of the photo session looks like it was done at its headquarters The Waterston House in Aberlady, which isn't too far from Ravensheugh Sands. Anywho, this suggests even more that they're birders.
Incidentally BOC is also an initialism for the British Ornithologists' Club

Rue the Whip-Poor-Whirl!

I just checked the thread and this is not in there. Gross oversight.

Bump! This was posted today on WATMM.

This 2021 and 2024 followup post don't strike me as your regular trolling, but of course it's wise to remain skeptical. Anyways it totally fits in this thread! I do like the sound of "finishing off a big project".

I've always liked the name Andy, strange that 3 years after the initial scoop on the dude and he's still Andy, perhaps his name is just Andy and not Mike or Marcus.
But also me thinks Mike and Marcus may go by Andy when they want to be inconspicuous to any BoC fans in the wild, like a spy!

Jk.
btw kakapo, word of advice but your watmm avatar isn't a pleasant sight.
