"Original Corsair"...

Post by North by North »

I searched and didn't see this, so forgive me if it's been posted, but amongst all the fakery around the album release news, I came across this and forgot about it until now since I didn't see anyone else mention it:

Not assuming it to be real, just wondering if anyone else came across this.

I hadn't but thanks for sharing. As authentic as a Japanese Elvis, but still a very nice listen.

Reminds me of that Sotl + Boc thing, actually. It does sound like that, doesn't it? Ballasted era maybe.

Wow, I wish this was real. Love how it flows in a more natural human pulse. And it sounds more uplifting rather than the bleak feeling the official version gives off. Better than the original, which I didn't like so much anyway.
Really, no chance this is legit?

I mean the Atlanta Fugiens video appeared mysteriously and everyone accepted that. Of course we had a live recording to compare it to. But maybe this is finally the second installment in the teaser tracks leading up to the BOC set!

why does it matter to you so much if its BOC or not? you either like it or you don't.

Not sure about that necessarily, but it is rather lovely.

It doesn't. I do like it regardless. I suppose it just would be nice if, at some point, the brothers' vision of this track was something I could thoroughly enjoy. Because the final version for me is take it or leave it.

Not bad, but no comparison to the original (eh, but if that video is the "original", then what is the original anyway?). Maybe it's because I find Corsair to be such an integral part of Geogaddi that I'm just biased against changes.

Yes. Have listened to it on repeat all day many times before, but not for awhile. Until today. Oh how I missed it.

Dear god that looks like a delightfully typical smug child :D
Saw a blind man walking down the street
Greets every person he chanced to meet
Saw a cop write a ticket to a man over fifty
Fell over laughing screaming he was a hippie
Ran into a granny had a smile on her face
Broke a trophy she just won in a race

Don't worry about the future
Forget about the past
Whether it's good or bad
It's a gas

Reminds me of the Clarence Park cover, in a way.
