i am loving ben.. great label in the past year. would have never heard of them if it wasnt for christ and frog pocket.
but thought i would start this to talk about ben and the artists on the label.
anyone have a listen to this guy
Cheer? his album "Night Map" is pretty sweet.
and also "Ochre" is just amazing as we all know...
what you guys think over all?

Strange enough.. I'm not a big fan of Christ. Nice album covers though
"Free Festival" sounds very, very promising (Fieldtriqp worked on it?), however I *wasn't* a fan of "Beginning Algebra" (Brian Ellis?) from WATMM.. or something like that. I think that's where I got it from.
"Free Festival" here - http://www.myspace.com/afreefestival
"Cheer" really isn't doing it for me either. But there are only two tracks for preview on the Ben page.
"Frog Pocket" sounds promising. Need to dig up some more.
I dunno.. "Ochre" has spoiled me for the time being and uhhh.. a lot of the other stuff is starting to sound the same to my ears. Maybe I just need more movement in my music at this time.
Speaking of movements.. has anyone ever recorded an album called "Vowel Movement"? Because that'd be kick-ass.
Off to trademark it.

thanks for all the Free Festival anticipation guys...
just to clear things up, Fieldtriqp is not in any way involved in the Free Festival album coming out at Benbecula in September. we (Brian Ellis and i) asked him to send us some sounds to work with, so he could guest spot, and he was going to let us have an old Fieldtriqp track called Smog, but it never panned out, sadly.
however, without divulging too much here, another label has taken interest in releasing us by next spring, so we're currently hard at work on brand new songs...Fieldtriqp will once again get the offer to be a part of it, but we'll see what happens.

HAHA, Vowel Movement, OK here is a story when I was like 5 I came out of the bath room and declared that I had "loose vowels" I think my uncle almost died laughing. So I cant claim "Vowel Movement", but I own "Loose Vowels"!wwbjd wrote:Strange enough.. I'm not a big fan of Christ. Nice album covers though

agreed, but i honestly don't mind about their similar style (the more the merrierDerail wrote:Yeah, it's good, but doesn't come close to some of Manuals other albums. His style is a little too similar.nlogax wrote: i've been listening to that Syntaks album, good shit (waaay better than Manual's latest album).
i will graciously accept that offer and follow through this time.milieu wrote:thanks for all the Free Festival anticipation guys...
