Sundown used in Broken By Battle

Post by ScampSixteen »

Left my TV menu running just now and it went to BBC 2, some guy crying on a video taken by an iPhone, a narrator said "Just minutes after making this video, Dan hanged himself" followed by some nature footage with Sundown playing over it, turns out it was a documentary about PTSD, pretty grim stuff. but I thought I'd report some BOC usage, especially from TH.

Terrible. But glad their music is getting exposure as well as this issue.

Upon reflection the other music in this bbc production is quite good...

Never thought of the music in this context, but it fits, in all its sadness. Though I didn't initially have too sad thoughts about the song either.

I don't think it's all that sad. It's more serene. If they wanted sad, they should have gone with Corsair, it's like a sadder version of Sundown.

Corsair has definitely been used in BBC TV documentaries in the past - perhaps even Panorama.

I think the first recorded use of TH music was by Channel 4 News on 11 June 2013
Jesus, was it you indeed?
To flirt unkindly with my greed
Promising eternal life
When you knew it was not right?
When you knew that what I'd need was willingness and comfort there
