I was just joking mate! No nastiness intended at all, which I hope Kelp understands.
Did my comment come across as a bit harsh? Apologies if it did, but I really didn't intend it that way at all.
Much love to all
EDIT: Bad spelling

If she doesn't understand, then she's not the one and you must move on.
Heh, she'll probably be alright about it really. The way I look at it, i'm keeping these (plus a sealed copy of TH) in mint condition to pass onto my son as a sort of inheritance thing
Ha, I always try and justify my record buying habits by saying 'they're my retirement' or 'I'll pass these treasures onto my chilren' but I don't think I could ever bring myself to sell them. I wanna be buried with them. Buried in a coffin made from my melted down vinyl.
wow that's great to hear although I already pulled the plug on the whole lot and didn't really have the funds. In any case I'm hoping this deflates the used market quite a bit. I know the colored vinyl (one of which I have) and originals will probably stay higher but the prices that are being asked are a tad ridiculous.
Grateful to the brothers and warp for this.. Here's to hoping for a boxed set of some oldies but goodies too. hate to be greedy but hey it's because of the love.
So now that im getting a bit more vinyl, these included, I want to hang them on my wall. I stopped by target and they have some record frames. Bought one and I put my Christ. Blue Shifty vinyl in it to test it. The only thing im afraid about is at the edges of the back there are metal pieces holding it in place up against the front. Will this warp the record? Ill take a pic after work if you cant catch my drift.

Buy some additional blank sleeves and take the vinyl out and keep it stored safe; it's not worth the risk. then you can display the cover art and have easy access to the wax for listening.

The thing is I do not want to open the original packaging as well. And I did not buy them for listening so having the records accessible is not an issue.
Dude do yourself and the rest of the world a favor and just print or buy a poster. Dont buy a record and just hang it on your wall, that's a ghastly waste of money and music

No fooling. My dad had a music room when I was growing up. The garage was disconnected from the house so he converted it to a very high end, sound proofed, listening environment with remarkable speakers and equipment. There was a sofa properly situated in the sweet spot with chairs on either side for entertaining. One of the greatest things he did was create this shelving that went from floor to ceiling and that was spaced properly to display his records. The walls were literally covered in records.
I loved that space.
In any case there are ways to display creatively that won't bang up the sleeves and allows the music to be accessible imo.

I'm sorry that I'm not some hipster douche that thinks the crackling of a record gives me a better listening experience. Have you never heard of someone collecting something purely for the physical aesthetics? "YOU BETTER TAKE DOWN THOSE MEDIEVAL WEAPONS YOU HAVE HANGING ON UR WALL AND GIVE THEM TO PEOPLE WHO WILL USE THEM."
Let me ask you, how much of the time that you own your records are you sitting there listening to them? or are they collecting dust or being displayed? I'm pretty sure the latter is about 99% of the time.
So shoot me if I find album cover and the record to be a prized possession and also a work of art, that I will hang on my wall of my man-cave and look at it with joy and nostalgia, while I listen to Boards on my Android using Google Play.
I also have a few CDs unopened as well, that I am collecting because I love the artist and the album so much. I guess I should give those to people who will use the CDs in their car, eventually scratching, and finally tossing them in a few months because they are unlistenable.
And SHIT! I have Star Wars action figures and NBA bobbleheads. I better get rid of them if I don't plan on opening them up and playing with them.

Yea guy was really looking out for me, "dude do yourself and the world a favor and print out a poster".
I like how he is pretty much is saying 'don't support the artists' as well. Don't go and buy the vinyl if you love them and their work, if you don't plan on sitting around your record player like a snot smoking clove tobacco and pretending you are better than everyone else.

old:
new version should be like this, i can't see any other way:
which means, if the inner sleeves are printed like the original, there leaves 2 new sides to the new triple gatefold meaning new artwork?
COULD be like a book opening up with a front and back cover and middle segment housing the second sleeve.

Site says they all come with stickers and a 12x12 print
So happy!
Also in regards to lyst's rectum wreckage, I'm just puzzled that you're about to drop $200 to hang some albums on your wall and never listen to them. I can understand buying and displaying listenable media but not to just hang and ignore, especially at that price.
No need to get pooper peeved
