I'm not reading this thread. So this post is inadvertently a spam post of sorts (but only because I don't want spoilers), but I JUST started watching Breaking Bad last week, am in season two, and love every second of it.

I have a couple of thoughts on the Dutch book Jessie checked out. First is literal: it's a bio by Edmund Morris about Ronald Reagan whose nickname was Dutch. Second is interpretive: in the 20s & 30s there was a mob boss named Dutch Schultz who had an enforcer, Vincent Coll, who demanded more $$ than the flat rate he was being paid by Schultz and organized his own crew to take a hit out on his boss (Schultz) which went awry. A child was killed in the attempt which earned him the name "Mad Dog". Hmmmmm....those are my thoughts!

Hank & Marie also had a boxset of Deadwood on their shelves...

I think it means Flynn/Jr. And which one of Hank/Walt/Jessie are folks pulling for at this point?? They all are flawed and have broke bad in their own ways, can't wait to see how it all goes down.

Oh man I would HATE it if this happened. I really can't see Jesse doing that though. Yes he's a killer, but he's not like Walt, I don't think he'd harm an innocent person. It crossed my mind that they might do the whole "guy defeats his enemy and becomes him" like how Walt became the bad guy over time...but I really don't wanna see that happen, I <3 Jesse and I'm always rooting for him.

Also I just started watching a week and a half ago and I'm already caught up. Fucking great show. Season 4 was THE SHIT.

I just love BB.

This second half of season 5 though, although still really good, is the first time in the whole of BB where some of the story is a bit of a stretch, and kind of difficult to piece together as a viewer.

I stopped trying to figure out the whole Jessie and his poison cigarette thing, from last week. Skyler's recent Do it for us, what's one more? Hmmm.

It is awesome though. I'm completely hooked.

From what he told Hank in the van, it sounds like he has a sneaky plan to expose Walt.

Yeah I find skyler's recent switch to team Walt to be a little weird, I keep wondering if she's trying to play along in order to expose him. But I guess if push came to shove I'd choose the team with the crazy smart guy who seems to get away with everything too.

These biggest twist to me would be if it doesn't turn out to be Walt vs Jesse like they've been hinting at forever, but the two of them against everyone else with them walking off into the sunset together. I could kind if get behind that.

I'm sure most of you don't remember this, but maybe you heard about it; years ago a soap called Dallas brought back Bobby Ewing after him being dead for ages. They managed this by simply saying all the episodes without him were a dream his wife had I think. Ridiculous I know.

However, what if something similar was up the sleeves of the writers of Breaking Bad?
You know the way Walt's story is crazy, and all the things he's done, and how he's come out on top with everything, and at times been really lucky?
What if we find out in the final episode that Walt, thanks to his cancer and treatment and whatever has been living a complete coma induced fantasy life, and none of it from a certain point has been really happening? :shock:

Also if Saul Goodman isn't the greatest character ever to grace modern fiction, I'll eat my hat.

The 4th season is so fucking badass! I was on the edge of my seat for real, that crawlspace episode, damn! The whole world was falling apart around me and I'm like "ok, you go away now, I'm watching breaking bad".
