Yeah, most of it sounds the same. If I didn't know better, I'd think they were all made at the same time. Thanks for the effort. I consistently hear the same (or 'similar' if you prefer something more delicate) timbres, the same transitions, same effects, same beats, and nothing surprising. 24 years and still the same damn theme-- I'm sure it sells lots of records.

And yeah, when someone says BoC all sounds the same, I hear where they're coming from, even if I disagree. There is nothing false about such a statement because it all depends on what someone is listening for and that is something only the listener will know.

Nothing left to add here. Have a good day, and please don't have a heart attack.
Chalk is not food. Remember not to eat it.

Perhaps I'm too late with the warning. Do they usually eat chalk at WATMM or wherever you're from originally? I can't remember the food groups for a healthy diet exactly but I was pretty sure that wasn't one of them.

What?

Anyway..

I've listened to the singles so far. Sounds great apart from "Everything" - waiting for the third to download the audiophile copy of the record from nin.com.

You don't care for Everything? I don't mind it. I like the ending a lot.

As for "what"...just a troll on Twoism. Uncommon but it happens. I don't quite have a lot of respect for them, I more prefer people who want to have actual discussions.

Just listened to the whole thing and I thought it was... better than the Daft Punk album but not as good as Tomorrow's Harvest.

I think I said this somewhere else, but there was a time when I thought Trent could do no wrong. When he released that single on Soundcloud a few months back, that, that was the first time I didn't like something from NIN on the first listen, ever. And I'm still not a big fan of the new sound. The album isn't as bad as I thought it might be (thank god), but I don't find myself wanting to listen to it again, or even buy it. It's an odd feeling since I've been such a huge fan boy for 24 years, but oh well, times and tastes change and I'm getting old and most of what I listen to now is Bubble Guppies and The Wiggles and other kid crap that gets stuck in my head all day while I dictate my life to their mind-numbing tunes.

And noise, I love noise.

Anyway.. not for this old fogey any more unfortunately :(

Oh, look, a photo uploaded three years ago that was taken a month before the upload date. The relevance?

Then that's fine. If someone doesn't care for NIN, I respect their opinion, so long as it isn't founded upon nonsense.

I'm gonna be honest I think Trent's like 40 second spot on the new Queens of the Stone Age album is way better than anything on this release. I was actually really excited that his contribution to ...Like Clockwork was an indicator that new NIN would be better. I think Trent Reznor has a lot of potential he needs to explore it more

He did already, a long time ago - up to 11.

I liked Kalopsia too, though.

Album sounds good to me, I don't get the hate. His stuff definitely doesn't all sound the same either.

PS. The first 3 posts in this thread were ok.
I don't even think that it's necessary for me to post this reaction: But I can't fucking wait to download the audiophile version in 2 hours. Yes, Trent. Y.E.S.

Lens Larque, naicob..please, just..don't..anymore. It's blatant bullying in this thread, at this point; if anything, just by ripping apart what one another says, and then cue the cheap shots and funny MJ gifs. It's about Nine Inch Nails, not Rodheh. Rodheh, you too. Good lord, this thread is about as angsty as the "Broken" album.

Let's keep a few things in mind guys:

First of all, everyone is ENTITLED to his or her own opinion. We are all entitled to love or hate any artist we choose, and free to express that. We should also be aware that getting defensive when someone disagrees with us isn't always the best way to react.

Second, that being said, maybe it's not in best form to attack an artist's latest musical output in the very same thread that was created to PRAISE it. HOWEVER, you are still free to do so, just be aware that you're stepping on toes.

Third, the posting of images of other Twoism members in this thread is out of context and inappropriate, and considered a violation of privacy.

Fourth, please try to make the title of your thread SOMEWHAT indicative of the contents of the thread. This thread was simply titled "SO" which made me think of a brand of coconut ice cream.

Thank you for listening.

i hate come back haunted but from how much ive listened to the album so far i like it, even if alot of it sounds like the average trent songwriting.

the 2nd half is definitely where it picks up. hint: because he actually sings instead of the talking with attitude thing he does on so much of the 1st half. it sticks out so much on this lp its bad

and i really love everything and it's underrated as all hell imo
