ISO: R35TT Vol. 2
Yes, it doesn't exist yet, but I think now is a good time for our benefactor to take some more choice cuts from the pre Twoism releases and chop them up and hide those track lengths. It's been a few years - let's hear some "new" old material! Would be a great way to celebrate a banner year of a new album and vinyl reissues, and with no plans in sight for an Old Tunes box set, the time is right.

Saw a blind man walking down the street
Greets every person he chanced to meet
Saw a cop write a ticket to a man over fifty
Fell over laughing screaming he was a hippie
Ran into a granny had a smile on her face
Broke a trophy she just won in a race
Don't worry about the future
Forget about the past
Whether it's good or bad
It's a gas
Greets every person he chanced to meet
Saw a cop write a ticket to a man over fifty
Fell over laughing screaming he was a hippie
Ran into a granny had a smile on her face
Broke a trophy she just won in a race
Don't worry about the future
Forget about the past
Whether it's good or bad
It's a gas

Like I have said before, we have gotten all were going to get out of BoC for a little bit. A new album AND represses is more than I could have asked for this year.
And how certain are you that the BoCset isnt being put together now?

I wonder if we'll ever get the BoCset, really. Seems to be a lot of obstacles.
First these tracks are years old and there's just the whole "did they keep them all" question. But OK, they could be brilliant at archiving.
Then you look at their workflow and a lot of it is quite "tapey", how much of that stuff, not just the finished tracks but all the little intermediate steps of creating a distressed sound still exists? Could they even technically go back and do "cleaned up" versions of stuff, or is all that's left the mixdowns in whatever quality they exist? Bear it in mind no-one's been making "new" tape for ages now, so tape is a finite resource. How much stuff's been recorded over?
Then they're notorious for quality control, and these are tracks that by and large were skipped over for one reason or another, are they ever going to let stuff they weren't 100% happy with out of the stable? You look at stuff like A14 which *probably* became New Seeds. If that's what going back into the archives, pulling something out and thinking "what can we do with this" produces, then hey that's cool but it's a lot of work. (Actually, I'd fucking love an album of that kind of process - old stuff reworked into new things
) But what I'm saying is... would they even want to release stuff as it exists now, without remixing it?
Just some thoughts.

Did I imagine this, that mike paridinas wife pulled her ebay auctions of unreleased material and mike tweeted that he was excited about a proposition for pulling the tapes off auction?Mexicola wrote:Didn't one of the recent TH interviews talk about the unreleased Old Tunes material being something of a heirloom for their kids?? That would suggest the material is there, but not being released any time soon.
Still, hope springs eternal I guess?
Correct, but MDG since confirmed that was nothing to do with Warp, the band or himself. He was as in the dark as the rest of us. The mystery remained.realspiel wrote:Did I imagine this, that mike paridinas wife pulled her ebay auctions of unreleased material and mike tweeted that he was excited about a proposition for pulling the tapes off auction?Mexicola wrote:Didn't one of the recent TH interviews talk about the unreleased Old Tunes material being something of a heirloom for their kids?? Pretty sure she was just mocking the fans. They went on to destroy the tapes after all.realspiel wrote:Did I imagine this, that mike paridinas wife pulled her ebay auctions of unreleased material and mike tweeted that he was excited about a proposition for pulling the tapes off auction?Mexicola wrote:Didn't one of the recent TH interviews talk about the unreleased Old Tunes material being something of a heirloom for their kids??
