Timber Timbre's self-titled album always makes it onto my mp3 player this time of the year.

Funnily enough, Campfire Headphase. Always reminds me of moving to Dorset and living happily alone for the first time. Put on my headphones as I walked along the promenade to Hengistbury Head and realised, again for the first time, that I could be truly happy without relying on other people. The crisp autumn air, clear blue skies and lapping waves of the English channel, as the Isle of Wight glinted in the distance...

Campfire will always be that time, that place, that feeling - to me.

Lovely Story Mexicola, funnily enough campfire also reminds me of early beautiful crisp autumn air, a lot of walks and a positive outlook. Slightly different view point over the celtic sea from South Wales but I'd imagine those same lovely feelings.

Mogwai's Come On Die Young. You can almost feel the cold wind when you stuck it on.

Unwound-leaves turn inside you
Echo and the Bunnymen-heaven up here

I know I have a bunch more. It hasn't been put to the test yet, but I have the sinking suspicion tomorrow's harvest is one of these.

Burial's mood is actually quite fitting for this time of year. Always reminds me of walking round Hackney in the rain, late September, October/November.

There are a couple of smiths "best of" cds, most seem to have the same songs, but I have this one, it's orange, and that particular track order, I love it the best and it always reminds me of a particular autumn in washington state, carving a pumpkin with my girls in the coziest cabin in bremerton, eating olives and brie and drinking Carlo Rossi.
