Extremely excited as always with Autechre, though to my own amazement I literally stopped spinning Exai after winter, I don't know why.. I do like it and all, but it just got left behind.. Maybe this is grounds for a re-listen.

Any more news on this EP anywhere?

Here is the WATMM thread:

If the artwork was just finished then I would think we'd see like a September announcement (sooner I hope)

YES. Though Autechre isn't my favorite band, though they are in my top 10, one of their main benefits is how often they release music (hint hint BoC)

thing is, out of context the comment seems weird but it was originally on "the playground" and that's why I said what I said.

yeah, at first i was totally psyched on it, but it's such a huge, overwhelming amount of stuff that sometimes i just don't have it in me to listen to it. i'm kinda glad this ep is like 26 minutes over 4 tracks in that way

also, since someone decoded the exai cover to show its release date/catalog #, i wonder what the ep's cover decodes to

I hope it's more interesting than their last couple releases. I love Autechre's old stuff but their new stuff just doesn't vibe with me very often.

Also who thinks this is gonna shine a bit more on the dubstep and juke influences that sometimes popped up on Exai?

It's pretty fresh to see an EP-length EP from Autechre.
