I can believe that that track might be 5D, but it's just a hunch. It's a very fitting name and the fact that they added it to the playlist feels like a nod from the duo, but then again it might be purely down to the nature of the video - which is very well produced and not at all dissimilar to something BoC would do themselves.

I once did that. I met Marcus and asked him if he could release those tapes. I was very nice and very kind, but the only thing he replied was "How the hell did you get in my bedroom?"

If I win the lotto tomorrow, I'd fly to Scotland and buy them each a pint. Then I would legitimately offer to make a very generous donation to the charity of their choice in exchange for some unreleased material. For the record, I would keep it to myself unless they said I could share it with the community.

That was more of a general statement of fictitious intent than a specific course of action I ever intend to take. That being said, if I won the lotto tomorrow...

Well, when I was referring to having 4 out of 5 releases sampled, I guess it's accurate to say we MAY have 2 samples from Closes Vol. 1, but still none from Catalog 3. It's tough to say whether having that video in the youtube playlist is confirmation that it's really 5D, or the song/video combo is just so damned good that they were willing to forgive any possible title inaccuracy and just had to have it in the playlist. That video to me is the quintessential BoC video, and one of the most beautiful songs on R35TT to boot.

It's a shame the 5-9-78 video of the kids exploring the woods isn't on youtube anymore (I think it might still be on vimeo though) - that's another one that really brings it.

There are supposed copies of 3 tracks from Closes Vol. 1 that have been floating around for years but not given much attention. https://soundcloud.com/transmisiones-ro ... l-1-tracks They are similar to their other early material (like the R35TT) and the track times match without fading out. I don't want to make it seem like they're 100% legit, but I think they are definitely worth inspecting

These have to be legit.
I have had copies of these a long time before any of the old tunes leaked.
I also had Godever which eventually ended up on R35TT.

im surprised that since these 'have been floating around for years' that i've personally never stumbled upon them.

Focus on the Spiral sounds a lot like Mukinabaht, maybe an earlier version.

Out of all fakes I've ever heard these are the only ones that sound somewhat believable. Wonder what the chances are they're legit...

If I had to choose, I'd probably hang myself because it'd be too hard.

But after thinking about it for a while, Acid Memories really seems to look like it would GET TO ME. So I'd pick ACID MEMORIES.
