I smoke on the mic like smokin' Joe Frazier'

Greatest hip hop performance ever.. pure energy, so menacing

Close second to Illmatic for me. But yeah it's an absolutely brilliant record.

Oof, got me thinking about best hip hop albums lists now. Those two are up there for sure. I'd probably say either Public Enemy Fear Of A Black Planet or Eric B & Rakim Paid In Full or DJ Shadow Endtroducing or GZA Liquid Swords or Gravediggaz. Goddamn it, too many keep coming to mind.

Also need to re-bump the Czarface album. Cannot emphasize enough how good this album is! If you like classic 90's hip hop, Wu-Tang, DJ Premier and all that stuff, seriously give it a listen.

It's my joint top album released this year along with TH.

The new Deltron album is a really fun listen! Not as good as the first but who was expecting it to be?

I heard it's awful.

And I thought the first was pretty mediocre so I'm definitely staying away

On the topic of Wu Tang Clan, RZA is such an interesting guy. Very intelligent.

I'm still a big fan of Aesop Rock and Wu Tang Clan. Not really into rap/hip hop as much anymore. I was a HUGE Bone Thugs N Harmony & Three 6 Mafia fan back in high school, but grew out of that phase. The whole violent/graphic lyrics thing is not so cool to me anymore.

^^Nice version this one.

Brand New Second Hand is a masterpiece. Definitely my favorite of his.

Time to revive one of my favorite threads. Here's some of the more recent rap shit I've been bumping
.
The weediest of tracks

Milo as Scallops Hotel brings that introspective fire with his newest release

Clear Soul Forces continues to prove that they deserve more attention than just the video for "Get No Better"

https://airospace.bandcamp.com/track/hi ... prod-bsd-u The anime rap never stops with Airospace. His latest mix tape took a few listens to really click with me, and now it's one of my favorite releases so far this year. Absolutely incredible.

And finally, Open Mike Eagle put out one of the best tracks/videos of the year I think. I'm still waiting for him to blow up like he deserves. I think people are slowly catching on.

Hope you rap fans enjoy these. I've got more to share when I'm called upon.

Del Tha Funkee Homosapien anyone?

This was always my absolute favourite:

Actually a very, very harrowing lyrical journey. From bravado to its crushing consequences at literally break-neck speed.
