Faster BoC songs?

Post by boredoms »

BoC tunes with a faster tempo tend to be my favorites. It's a shame there aren't that many of them.
e.g.
XYZ (just re-discovered this one, wonderful)
Red Moss
Telephasic Workshop
David Came to Mahana'im (top 5 material, so good)

Can you think of others?

audiotrack 8a and red moss are the shit. i wish they made way more fast paced tracks

ftr the june 9th drumloop sounds way better at 8a's tempo and with the little highhat, hearing june 9th just makes me want it to just speed up.

Weird, that's just one track that has zero appeal to me. I honestly don't like it at all. I derive no pleasure from the melody that the whole track is based around. That's just me. But I do like a lot of their other fast tempo stuff, some of their most under appreciated stuff, Sixtyten, June 9th, XYZ are incredible

Reach For The Dead is fast for BoC but it doesn't sound like it strangely. At 136bpm it's faster than Sixtyten and Telephasic Workshop which are both around 100bpm.

But the amount of activity and subdivision per beat matters. 136bpm full of eighths could sound faster than 150bpm without them. Guess it depends what you mean by "fast".

XYZ is definitely my number one favorite.

Telephasic Workshop has to be second. Alpha and Omega is a runner-up.

Audiotrack A04 nailed position for third.
