I posted one of my drawings on facebook and 3 of my high school classmates told me they still have drawings I made for them and have them framed in their house. That's so flattering and touching I could cry.
One of them said she has the drawing I did of a little fairy hanging up in her daughters room and that she loves it so much and it's so cool to me that this little girl is growing up loving a picture I made. I've always felt like the best thing that could happen with my art is that it reaches someone in some way and hearing that it does really puts wind in my sails.

All of old. Nothing else ever. Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better.
I have to ask, what is a "happy rant"? Am I to transcribe the things that have made me overflow with feelings of euphoria and contentedness with a BOLD and lengthy delivery? Is that a happy rant? Well then, I'd have to say I'm really fucking happy that I will be working with Boreal Network, Kinesthetiac, Betaphax, Nyetscape, 2020k and a few others shortly for the new Simulate Televangelist record. We're currently fleshing out the concepts behind both the left and right sides ('tis to be a double album) and it's coming along smoothly. I'm also very happy that there is a very special girl who would be mine and I would be hers, if circumstances weren't that she is from England and I am from the US. Such is the cruel nature of the world that we are apart, but Skype is an invaluable tool.
Okay...now...wait for fog machine.

Pretty much. No Simulate Televangelist would exist without Skype

Right on! This is one of the best feelings in the world, congrats!Guido wrote:6 weeks clean from alcohol

I've had a minor slip up, not so much with drinking, but letting myself get back into old unhealthy patterns that fueled my drinking in the first place. I just wasn't being as good to myself as I needed to be, and my self esteem started to slip, but I'm back on top of it.
My hypnotherapy recording business stuff is coming along great, those recordings and a bunch of my art will be up for sale pretty soon. I'm very proud of all the work I've done to make it happen. I never would have been able to do it a few years ago when I was feeling so shitty about everything.
I also feel very positive about good things happening in my love life soon. I actually have nothing to back that up, but I have a weird hunch I can't explain.

Strange how little things make all the difference.
Returned to work today after about 10 days off. Not something, I'll grant you, usually worthy of a 'Happy Rant' - quite the contrary. However, it quickly became clear that a friend and colleague of mine - and someone I thought I'd managed to royally freak out and piss off to the point I'd lost their friendship forever - had either forgiven or forgotten the whole deal. After weeks of awkwardness and eventually barely acknowledging each other, we were getting on like a house on fire again.
This has made me a very happy and lucky man as I had acted, frankly, like a prize prick.

Some of my old friends from my girl scouting days came over tonight to crochet and eat dim sum and watch movies and I feel deleriously happy! I have a really bad habit of isolating myself, and I always forget how good it can be to hang out with friends.

I start my new job tomorrow. The first job I've had since I got made redundant in February. This whole year has been a kind of clusterfuck tbh. I'm hoping this'll be a return back to normality and financial stability for me. I'm looking forward to meeting loads of new people, having a routine back in my life (I really need this!), being able to buy a new computer, start making music again, buying records and I'll be able to save up some money for traveling in the future.
I'm excited.

Got a haircut today, now it looks less like I have a mop on my head. This is a good thing.

So the pitch control on my new turntable is kind of a bastard; just a wheel with no labeling and no snap position in the center. Having the new BoC LP's has helped me dial it in to a 'T'. I knew knowing every second of this music would pay off some day.

^ Not entirely sure whether that's praise or criticism or both Cupz.
I like that he uses a load of the same actors in his films, they're part of what makes a Wes Anderson film a Wes Anderson film for me, and it's a thing not many directors do anymore. I'll watch Bill Murray in anything and Ralph Fiennes looks like he'll be great in the lead role.
8 feature films in 20 years isn't exactly making as many films as he possibly can imo.
Apologies if I've misread you're comment and taken it out of context Cupz, I'm just happy there's a new Wes Anderson film coming out.
