Technology.....and i-pods

Well it is my birthday in a few days and just to be different I asked for an i-pod mini. Everyone else I know has original i-pods and my sister is getting a photo one. Actually I was really happy with my little nokia mp3 player, was just a shame it only held 5 tracks and could not be upgraded. But for the sake of looking a little cooler in the gym I have asked for a little one. PINK!!! in fact. (i knew i had some girlyness inside somewhere).

Well it's arrived and is sitting there and I have the accessories etc but feel a little nervous. If its a new phone, you play for days until you get bored and then it just becomes a tool for communication, but a PINK i-pod mini, am I likely to get mugged? Am i going to have to hide it away (not that I was planning to have it swinging from my neck!) Im just a little apprehensive. I am going to Bristol at the weekend and Holland in two weeks, will I be able to take it and fall asleep on the plane?

Maybe its just new gadget nerves, hmmm

I think you act that way because it is an expensive "toy", I have a 3th gen iPod for over a year now and I am still very careful

if I was you I should not show it in public and don´t use the apple headphones

so you don´t have to be afraid someone will steal it from you

what brings you to Holland if I might ask,
and where are you planning to go to?

I am travelling to Gronningen, I have a friend who lives there and I will be there for New Years eve. I have a day in Amsterdam for some shopping first of all but will only be there for 3 days in total.

I just like travelling I guess and my daughter stay with my mum over New Year, kind of a tradition so I can go out, but decided to take things a step further

Yeah NY Eve probably party time and my friends next door neighbours by the looks of things,

why is there somewhere better i should be going? im sure my friend is up for suggestions

yeah I am telling you the truth, have you ever visited Groningen before?

I dunno yet what kind of parties there will be...if you go out then check out "Simplon" or "de Puddingfabriek" these are the only locations where they play IDM based music from time to time

I think I will stay at home or maybe visit "kardinge"

hehe i will have to write your suggestions down as i speak absloutley NO dutch and cant even pronounce Groningen very well even WITH a chesty cold.

Ive never been before, Ive been to Amsterdam a few times, but never anywhere else, I am actually looking forward to the 2 hour train journey-will be sitting on the top deck just me and my new pink friend (i-pod mini)*nb-must give it a name, just looking out the window

This is a message from the future.

In 2 years, there will be a revolutionary ipod that will have a touch screen which will let you swipe the device to look for songs and gaming material. They will keep evolving and before 2012 they will have better graphics than some console games, and some models will be phones! Technology marches on and trust me, it's getting better for us in the future. But don't feel bad, next year you get the Wii and 2010 there will be a tiny square with a touch screen, and that same year My Little Pony will be revived and liked by millions and is still liked. And boc still rocks. But most other music is terrible.
