Touched - massive charity album - electronic artists

Post by 2ndMOUSE »

If you have any interest in Electronic Music at all , this is an album you won't want to miss.

Not only will it be a chance to hear some of the worlds best Electronic Artists , all in one place , but it is also a charity album , with all proceeds going towards Macmillan Cancer Relief. You don't need me to tell you just how worthwhile a cause this is , as we all know someone , or know of someone , who has fallen prey to this most despicable of diseases.

The album will be released on the 12th December , and will feature such luminaries as Plaid , Funckarma , Brothomstates , Kettel , Ochre , Milieu , Surface 10 , Christian Kleine.....to name but a few. There are about 100 others , and counting....

I fact , here is a list of most of the artists already confirmed

Plaid , Christian Kleine , Marsen Jules , Zan Lyons , Chris Weeks , Verbose , Pub , KINGBASTARD , Brambles , Offthesky , Soutien Gorge , Olan Mill , Sense , IIII , Ciarán Byrne , Bengalfuel , Surface10 , Funckarma , Ruxpin , Christ , Skytree , Min-Y-Llan, Tom Roberts , Weldroid , Tim Hutton , Fil Ok , Lackluster , Derren Heath , Milieu , Missingsense , Z-Arc , Bagpipe Whiskey , hunc. ,Empty Whale , Cousin Silas , Ola Bauriman , Adviruz , Floating Spirites , Generate , Endote , Dunaewsky69 , Dementa , Playman54 , Awkward Noise , Meta Program , Eigenheimer , 2ndMOUSE , Nonima & Dissolved , Ade Hodges , Shadow Priest , Abereiddy Astronomical Society , Roel Funcken , UNKNOWjp , Little Eris

This list is by no means exhaustive , and is still being added to.. I am humbled and privileged to have been asked to sit alongside these names , and to help fight this thing which I have personally seen claim my aunts life.

All that is necessary for evil to prosper , is for good men to do nothing.

Please visit the " Touched " page on facebook , LIKE it , show your support , and stay informed about the December release.

You can find all the info about the album here

I know.
They haven't produced a track for 10 years. The track they submitted was made especially for this compilation. Thats a pretty big deal on its own

It's been patchy, but he has actually been releasing stuff, just very rarely. This came out last year:

Nice find.
"Airliner series" is quite a track. Will be interesting to see what He brings to the table for this compilation. I'd be surprised if it were less than stunning. Even if it is , there'll be 100 other tracks to check out , with many surprises

Also contributing a track (eyesix), big honour to be alongside so many talented artists! And for a great cause. Martin, who organised this, is a legend. Looking forward to the release!

Fantastic cause too incidentally. Those outside the UK may not have heard of Macmillan, but they do amazing work for the families of cancer sufferers.

Please support if you can. 8)

Yes Mex , its a great cause.
Even if there weren't any 'names' on this , I still would've jumped at the chance to be involved. Anything that can be done to eradicate this thing , no matter how small an effort , or donation , is a step towards finally giving cancer the haymaker its had coming for a long long time.

come on guys.
Even if you dont want to give anything , you can still help by liking the page , and sharing it to your friends who might want to support this.

If you want to see cancer getting the biggest kicking , help us.

like the page. Share the page. Buy the album. Imagine it was yourself , your mother , your girlfriend , your grandfather , who needed the help........

enuff said. You know what to do. Every small step counts towards the big step of putting cancer on the ropes and making it afraid , OF US , of the combined will and solidarity ofthe human race.

BREAKING NEWS !!!

Just found out the identity of a new addition to the touched album , and the sound of my jaw hitting the floor would've been audible on the moon. One of the biggest electronic acts in the last 25 years. I can't mention who it is yet , cos its not my call , but im in a state of shock.

Shocked doesn't even come close to describing this.

I also have it on good authority that may open the door to another equally huge act.

(((O.O)))

Stay tuned for more revelations over the next few days.

I can finally confirm the identity of the mystery Artist(s) I referred to about a week ago in this thread.
Its been extremely difficult sitting on this , not being able to breathe a word until it was officially confirmed.

The Future Sound Of London.

I kid you not !!
