sounds good, in some parts the guitars are a bit too hard-hitting...they hould be a bit more...how should I say....subdued? is that the word?

rd: Fair enough. I appreciate your perspective : ) Personally I like the guitars like that - my music taste has predominantly spawned from a very metal-centric teenhood.

LkaoaKSo: I was thinking of doing "Cold Earth" to begin with actually. Might give that a go at some point.

Great cover

As well as being into the likes of BoC, I quite like a bit of metal

and this is a good mix.

I'd agree with the second poster that the guitars come in maybe a little to heavy to start, the drums could do with a little brightening, mainly the snare to make it pop a little. Has a sort of Isis/tool/kyuss sort of thing going on

well mine too, I guess it just comes down to what it is...espcially in cover versions...It all comes down to balance...so

Sorry, I'm not feeling it. What makes the original such a great song is the sparseness of it, how it feels very small and sonically closed-in. This is a big wall of treble and carries over nothing from the original except the riff and the beat (arguably, since it's mixed so low). I understand it's a different take on the song, I just don't think it does it justice.

Thank you so much for your feedback here guys - really appreciated. I'd love to do more BoC covers like this, so I'd welcome any ideas/inspiration as to what to pursue next!

I listen to a lot of Jesu, so that'd explain that one. : )

And Cohesion - thanks for your feedback, really appreciated. I totally agree with you on what makes the original so great - it's such a delicate little track and I love it for that, although I heard potential in the melody for something much more vast and majestic too. It wasn't designed to do the original justice as such; just twist its central themes into my musical way of seeing things.
