i have tried all previous mogwai albums and they each have their strengths.
but i cant really say any of them are outstanding.

i have just heard this album all the way through and i really like it.

am i right in saying this is their best one yet?

I think it's very standard Mogwai.
Except for Sun Smells, of course.

I agree. It follows the same exact formula as Mr. Beast. Sun Smells got my hopes up, but my interest in this cd has faded.

"the hawk is howling" is excellent, my favourite since 'Come on Die young'. 'Danphe and the brain' is up there with some of their best I reckon.
