I took the highest quality album art (200x200) into Photoshop, clone stamping the old text out, and adding newer, clearer text. I spent an hour on it and couldn't achieve anything as close as the video's, so I'm just going to wait and see.
BoC could have gotten the image from somewhere (like a magazine ad or something) and the person that uploaded the fake could have just found where it's from and scanned it in.
That magazine would have quite a few staples.

Well, I avoided this case for as long as I could, but I finally caved and listened after seeing the album art. The synth doesn't sound completely inappropriate to me; I actually think it works quite well. I hope this is an indication of things to come.

People printing URLs of any kind on a CD didn't really happen until the late 90s, much less FB. ;)

bump or something

hi peoples, im a fan of boc (and yes, i highly doubt this play by numbers thing :P) and i think i found 'ZmVicnVhcnkgMjAxNA's second video (the other one that doesnt show up)

anyways, this really doesnt mean anything probably, so if you're here to waste time or something you probably want to close this

i went to ZmVicnVhcnkgMjAxNA's google+ page and found this thing

Image

a live recording, apparently. the video was deleted too

anyways, the description, "aW5maW5pdGUgbGluZXMgb2YgY29sb3VyZnVsIHNldmVucw" translates to 'infinite lines of colourful sevens'! its probably still fake
the title is questionable, since nothing matches up with "1999-11-3" on the bocpages gigs page, which adds a lot of questions to this
the only thing closest to that date is the warp 10th anniversary show, which was on november 5 1999, HOWEVER, the first night of the show was on the third
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand its labeled as the 8th track of the set according to the video, which means either this is just another fake thing or legit, which i think it's fake

also also also also also when going to the youtube link, it says "The YouTube account associated with this video has been terminated due to multiple third-party notifications of copyright infringement." well.

im not sure if this helps at all, or something, idk

oh and hello, me, welcome to twoism

thanks

Aside from the fact that this person is a known hoaxer, there's just no way that they were making music that sounded like that circa 1994 - it can't possibly be Infinite Lines of Colourful Sevens, although I would say it's the only track of theirs that we know that seems worthy of such an epic title!

okay, so i just realized that by the 8th track is actually the 7th track on the bocpages (see "Telephasic Workshop + The Smallest Weird Number", which means that the video that was deleted from ZmVicnVhcnkgMjAxNA's yt account must have been this thingy:

not that it means anything

^ Yeah, seen some comments on that before. Doubt it really happened, specially not for 100€. Still... I've been messaging people on discogs who claim to own it and offering negotiations, and basically - no dice. Sucks. =P

Maybe, but the fact that it was sold to someone brings up the question. Did some poor guy get conned, or did some crazy list and buy it himself with an alt account? Either way, I really find it hard to believe there isn't 1 around somewhere, especially if there is 100 copies of this thing floating about. Mike and Marcus must have a lot of friends/family.

Also, after lurking for a bit I thought I would join. HALOOO!
