In 1979 Kirsty MacColl released They Don't Know which is pretty much a perfect 1950's style pop song. But the company pressing the singles were on strike so it's been overlooked. It's been covered by loads of people including wierdly Tracy Ullman. Most recently this version by Suzanna Hoffs of the Bangles.

When I want something 'pop' I reach for New Order, Blur or Stone Roses. I suppose that's cutting edge for some people lol. Also Revolver by The Beatles.

And I also love that 'They Don't Know' by Kirsty MacColl/Tracy Ullman, but thats top secret okay?
