I was listening to Love's Forever Changes album today and the song Live and Let Live came on.
The opening lyrics are:

Oh the snot has caked against my pants
It has turned into crystal
There's a bluebird sitting on a branch
I guess I'll take my pistol

These have gotta be some of my favorite opening lines to a song.
Thought this might be a fun thread/topic.
