Well then, I guess that BoC will have to make a song called "Turquoise Hexagon Moon", and Pink Floyd make a new album called "The Turquoise Side of the Moon"

Or maybe there's some kind of mash-up MHRTC/DSOTM/WizardOfOz to be made... @_@

I bet the brothers really love this coincidence.
Sagan: In order to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe.

Basinski: I wanted Cascade to become this crystalline organism like a star or a liquid crystal spaceship, a jellyfish traveling through the galaxy…

Oh yes. I hear BoC are working on a new live version of Happy Cycling with the Ligeti samples way up the mix. :)

BoC sampled Ligeti's Requiem (used in 2001: a Space Odyssey) in Happy Cycing (starts 39 seconds into Happy Cycling) did they not? I always assumed it was a Ligeti sample, but I might be wrong.

I'd never even considered that might be Ligeti! Might have to go check that now... Damn!

Just checked on BoC pages:
Though it is still a matter of debate, the eerie choir heard throughout much of Happy Cycling is thought to have been sampled from Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey or possibly Norman Jewison's Jesus Christ Superstar.
So I dunno. Sounds like Ligeti to me. There's also the Tangerine Dream track Rubycon Part 2
(can't remember who originally posted it on here a while back) that sounds a lot like Ligeti with synths from about 2:50mins in:
