I kinda don't ever want it to happen really.

I've kinda always felt that to a large degree tbh. Over the last couple of years, tho, I've wondered whether BoC will become a kinda... 'late in the day' touring act, which could be kinda sweet. If they totally reverse the whole touring front from being something an early-stage band does to what they start doing once they've actually ripened, when they're a bit older, and just for a bit of fun (more than all the other aspects of fame/attitude/crowds that go along with live).

I don't think I'd ever mind if they never played live again tho, tbh. As long as we keep getting releases once or twice a decade

Yeah this is essentially what Jandek did. For those unfamiliar Jandek is a very bizarre and secretive musician from Texas who has been releasing albums since 1979 on his Corwood Industries label. It wasn't until 2004 that he finally performed (as an unnamed 'special guest' )for the first time at a low-key festival in Glasgow. I could see BoC taking a similar route someday.

Yeah-- I actually saw Jandek on his second ever gig, also in Glasgow. After hearing about him from a mate at a party (he'd heard of him from some story breaking after the first gig) I got talking to some mates at the time and we got a bit obsessed with this weird Jandek story, only *then* to discover he was due to play another gig in Glasgow... so we had to go.

To tell the complete truth of the story, though: we only stayed for a few songs because we were just too high to handle the serious atmosphere. This small room of people sitting on the floor seeming to pay serious attention to Jandek on the piano, playing weirdly off-key, somewhat off-time notes and 'speaking' very bleak lyrics (one memorable line "Spit. Out. The. ...... .... Virus."). Weirdest part was, after ever song the audience didn't respond. No applause. Nothing. All you could hear was the sound of Jandek turning the sheet music on the piano.

I know it's kinda immature, but, well, we were only about 20. Completely caught up in paranoia and on the verge of bursting into immense laughter at the whole situation.
