For the "record", my copy of MHTRTC sounds exactly like a new vinyl would be expected to. However! There is a strange spiral pattern on one side, and no, it is not the regular groove of the record. I have not detected any affect on the sound quality. I bought mine at a store in Sacramento before Xmas.

The strange spiral is on Telephasic Workshop and it's on all copies old and new.

Okay does anyone have any information on the repressed repress of campfire headphase? I was told by bleep that it would be a while before the issue that warp tracked down was fixed. They estimated late dec/jan?

I believe most of us received an email about two weeks ago saying that they would be shipped in three weeks. Did you receive this email?

This is what they said:

Dear Customer

Thank you for your continuing patience in waiting for your replacement discs.

Warp are now happy with the quality of the discs that the plant are producing, and they are in production.

It is going to take approximately three weeks before we can send these to you. We will notify you when they are being despatched.

I would suggest contacting Bleep if you did not receive this email.

Do you have defected copies? If so contact Bleep and they can arrange replacements. Go to the Bleep site, login and go to "support" and write yourself an email to them. But not all copies are defected so perhaps check before you ask for a new copy. Hope that helps :)

I highly suggest to purchase the re-repressed records now, because in one or two years, if you buy a copy from somebody, you might get the bad-repressed version, and finding a good one might take you a lot of time and effort.

List of records that are going to be re-repressed:

-Trans Canada Highway
-Twoism
-Campfire Headphase

Am I right?

Thank you.

Yes, correct. All three of those were pressed at The Vinyl Factory in England.

also, i was told that "more information and replacement details" for geogaddi would be coming soon (email from bleep 11/13) so maybe this means geogaddi will be repressed as well.

I sure do hope Bleep send some kind of goodies as an apology for this monumental cock up.

I wonder if they will just repress the last of the 3 LPs with Corsair on it? It would cost someone a ton to redo all 3.

maybe, but i had the same left channel distortion problem with all 3 LPs. it starts near the end of the B sides of both LP1 and LP2, mostly affecting Julie and Candy and Over The Horizon Air.

Sooo, 11 more days plus a week of shipping or so I guess. Well, at least I'll finally have them. Hope they're gonna give away some goodies because of the long wait.
