...kinda lame, but i couldn't think of anything else besides this movie i just watched online before signing up on here. it's short for the url: "zeitgeistmovie.com". i have no affiliation with the production of this movie or personally benefit in any way by having people watch this movie. it just stuck out to me to spread the word. if you have 2 hours, and time to focus, it's definitely a perspective worth catching. (streams from site, hi-speed users). the end.
Mine means "date-rape spinsters" and is the name i use for my music release. It sounds controversial i guess since it has the word "rape" in the title, but in all honesty it's not meant to shock or offend. I explain it (it came from a very stoned conversation at the Leeds Festival with a good friend) as the way that date-rape is a terrible thing, but i'm pretty sure that not only guys do it...and from there it developed to the extreme of old women doing it to mid 20's guys. i found the name quite funny...
only one person has refused me on myspace because of it so far!

Interesting. I guess the gods want me to check it out as I just saw it on an AH message as well.zeitgeist wrote:...kinda lame, but i couldn't think of anything else besides this movie i just watched online before signing up on here. it's short for the url: "zeitgeistmovie.com". i have no affiliation with the production of this movie or personally benefit in any way by having people watch this movie. it just stuck out to me to spread the word. if you have 2 hours, and time to focus, it's definitely a perspective worth catching. It's a mountain (actually a volcano) in washington state that I miss a lot since moving to the east coast.
this is actually a view of it from the town I used to live in. Also fun fact, I once identified over 30 different species of fungus in that park where that picture was taken. Basically washington state is amazing.

All of old. Nothing else ever. Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better.

I really have no idea what it means. In a way it's kind of a joke, like I'm from the future. But alas, I am not a time traveler.

ahh that sounds so cool! I spent a lot of time last year along this river in Wisconsin doing something similar with the plants there. There is this really cool organization called the urban ecology center that maintains those sorts of thingsrainier wrote:It's a mountain (actually a volcano) in washington state that I miss a lot since moving to the east coast.

In response to the thread though, it was from my musical project I started a few years ago. When I was first getting a feel for creating something solid, a lot of my friends who do a lot of folky music had bird-related monikers that they used. I wanted to have this electronic project where I collaborated with the lot of them. It's a little cheesy, but I thought of it as providing a "perch" for all of these bird alter egos haha. Anyways, it never really came to fruition, but I liked the name enough to keep it.
Epoch six is a speculative vision of future information technologies / intelligence, a hypothetical final stage of technological evolution. The idea is that eventually information technologies and data networks will grow and evolve to the point where they develop a level of autonomy sophisticated enough to proliferate beyond Earth, integrating into systems beyond our own, continually growing in size and complexity, autonomously maintaining and improving upon its own design. The integration of intelligence into non-biological systems.
It's a groovy idea.
It's also the name I produce under.

Vballs is really boring, its something some friends call me as its kind of an abbreviation for my last name. I've never been good at creating alternate names or identities for myself. Id rather just call myself Jon as that's my real name but it just isnt the done thing is it?
