I agree. Sorry to bring a month-old thread back to life, but I'm surprised by a lot of the skepticism (although some of it is warranted). I mean, of course there might not be a physical pay-off of any kind if you find something out, but I think the decoding of everything surrounding this record is a blast. That's what made Geogaddi so much more enthralling for me (the backmasked messages, numerological clues, occult references, etc), and TH incorporates this tenfold. Anagrams, numbers transmissions, cryptic voices, Illuminati references... it's like if John LeCarre and Alesiter Crowley were record producers.

Anyways, keep it up. There's a lot of good stuff being dug up. I OVERFLOW MAN, the newcleardawn.com site with the Bohemian Grove Owl and FNORD acronym, 22-August-1996 on the Cosecha site, the upside-down 822 in the album booklet... It could all mean something or be connected, or it could mean absolutely nothing at all, but it's definitely not a waste of time.

Every time I see someone speculate that there may be more to discover, someone else feels the need to step in and tell them, "NO. IT'S OVER." How do you know either way?

Let people speculate and have their fun. I find it more likely that there will be some continuation of the "puzzle" for the following reasons:

-All of the sites are still redirecting to the cosecha-transmissiones password prompt. Although maybe they're just waiting until closer to the release date to launch a new site...
-Besides the soundcloud audio, the twoism banner, and the metadata on the cosecha-transmissiones site, the number clues were basically spoon-fed to us. If the brothers had more to do with this than just green-lighting a marketing campaign (i.e. planning and design...which seems likely if you think the whole Redmoon thing was "official"), don't you think there would more to it?

Like I've said before, maybe I'm just projecting my admiration for BoC and their obvious attention to detail, but something about "here's the password...album's out on the 10th" seems anticlimactic.

Just thought I'd mention that two of these three websites are still up. I was sitting on this idea for a while, but here it is. I wish there was a show/hide button.. I suck at message boarding. Half of this should prob be in the general TH thread but finding this one took long enough.

I've tried a few things with the VAX login page too and hope something might come out of it on 8/22, but I'm not holding my breath too much.
My wacky theory about this login page is that it may just be part of the TH story, which might begin not much later than '83. My personal take is a window between '77-'82 based on the production techniques and aesthetic. Having an interest in alternative histories and possibilities regarding technology or culture and where/how those things could have branched away from the world we know, maybe they "slid" the big crash ahead of time by 50 or 100 years or so. So they could tell this story using their unique palette of sound and the tools available at the start of the story.

There could be enough resources to stretch out and fight over for a decade or so before everything useable is gone or consolidated into cruel hands. "1999" could reference some projected deadline or maybe communicate the irony that it had already passed; an appropriate lead-in to the Sick Times. 1996 is the last point of interaction with this particular technology, with the machine evidently still running. This could be illustrating the end-points of both technological progress and humanity as it was.
Maybe the story is told through the perspective of the last machines and their recordings and transmissions of old media, of attempts at contact or conflict. The narrative might be broken by design, eroded along with everything else in the imagery. I think there are some samples in here which are just supposed to be indecipherable. Others remind me of the distress signals or last broadcasts at the end of a sci-if movie, like Alien. That's not the best example, but its the idea of the beacon continuing without attendant humans, slowly winding down, telling the end of the story on repeat.

The interesting part is that those symbols is throwing randomly, but with some period of time and rhythm. The most interesting thing is that, if you minimize the cosecha window and when later come back to it, you will notice that the marker is at the exactly same position, where you left it. It seems that the site is leaving those symbols only when we are watching it. Now, the other thing is that the signal appears only in some period of time, firstly I caught signal exactly after midnight, but in the evening it was gone already.

So maybe this is some silent Morse code? What do you think about this? Did someone already notice this? Maybe this is just some crazy bug.

My symbol I had when I was messing around at work was a "[" when I was screen shotting the page for a picture..irrelevant maybe, but maybe this helps. I'm not sure on the flashing symbol so much, but I'm absolutely sure that site has more than one purpose.

My password marker is either on or off for extended , but random periods of time. I don't know if that's because I'm on an ipad, and the processor can't handle the flashing, but you'd think it would. I'll check it at work on Safari tomorrow. It'd be fucking clever if they could communicate with a single blinking marker.

I am almost certain there's more to be found at C-T.com, and I think the 36 number-sounding things in cold earth have to somehow be related. That said, i'm pretty much clueless at the moment, and the site isn't doing the weird cursor thing at the moment ! If you're on a Mac, the  key (or cmd as it's now dumbly called) displays a [ for some reason. The other  key on the other side of the space bar displays a ].

No idea if it works on a PC though (anyone tried typing the left/right ctrl keys ? that just might be it, honestly), but it sure is a strange keyboard quirk. Has anyone ever seen a VAX keyboard ? Maybe that's where the [] keys are placed on it ?

Otherwise I'm keeping the Cosecha site open on a window on a separate browser, I'll see if I have anything by the end of the day.

Edit : just found this while searching google for the search terms "VAX Cal3 node" : http://www.bunker.org.uk/ — seems to be a replica of the Cosecha website.

Just tried it, the 36-digit password leads to the promo video as expected.

What I haven't tried is permutations of the different 6-digit passwords, but with no clues I don't expect much of anything except a huge waste of time.

As far as the appearing character is concerned, I think it's when you type  (on Macs) and Ctrl (on PCs). I'm on a Mac and already different characters are appearing depending on the browser I'm using (it displays "à" on Safari), so I'm willing to bet that the ÿ character is what happens when you type Ctrl. It looks suspicious but I don't think there's something there, honestly.

Anyone know what that duplicate website is though ? I'm curious.

I'm glad to see activity in this thread. Back when the album came out, people acted like I was nuts when I said that I thought there was more to be discovered on the C-T site.

Transmisiones = TransmissionS...plural, right? As in more than one?

The 36-(digit? character?) code in Cold Earth seemed like a promising lead, and someone in this thread had setup a site to try and crowdsource people to decipher it:

It never went anywhere, and the site created by Twoismer miklatov (intraludus.com) to input guesses seems to be down now anyway.

I still think we're missing something. The other official BoC sites stopped directing to C-T once the album announcement was made...so why is it still live?

Also...something I just noticed while looking at the WHOIS info for C-T, it's behind CloudFlare DDoS protection. Although that's not weird by itself, considering that BoC/Warp likely expected a bunch of people to be hammering away at trying to guess the code back before the album announcement, it isn't a cheap service. Why are they still paying for it?

The bunker.org.uk site was originally registered in 2004, and I'm guessing it was created by a fan. According to archive.org, the copy of the C-T page went up on 5/8/2013...9 days after BoC's sites started to direct to cosecha-transmisiones.com. The only changes prior to that were back in 2006, when it hosted a site for a "design" company:
