What's the most beautiful song ever made? I think it's Bjork - All Is Full Of Love

There are many, but the one which always sticks out for me is Don't Talk (Put Your Head On My Shoulders) by the Beach Boys.

As far as 'beauty' goes, The Big Ship by Brian Eno comes to mind (a lot of Eno's stuff really), as does How To Disappear Completely by Radiohead, and a more recent one for me is Even If You're Never Awake by Stars of the Lid.

Bjork is a good choice too, although I'd say her most 'beautiful' album is Vespertine. That whole album has a fantastic atmosphere to it, but those last two tracks especially, Harm of Will and Unison are both really gorgeous.

Upon first hearing the single version of 'All Is Full of Love' I was blown away, but it burnt out for me really fast.

the last minute or two of 'Dust Breeding' by Stars of The Lid is as beautiful a sound as I can think of.

Beautiful albums are the ones I have to own on wax, I regularly search google for "beautifully produced /written albums for vinyl" or something to that effect.

So good to see SOTL getting lots of shouts, their entire catalogue could go in to be honest! Especially all of Tired Sounds, Decline and Ballasted Orchestra.

Not gonna name an "of all time" thing, because the best of all time might still be out there and I've never heard it.

But for a recent album that's struck me as quite beautiful, The War on Drugs' Lost in the Dream.

It's like a shoegazey take on rootsy Bob Dylan type rock. Especially the track Eyes to the Wind, I teared up at that one a few hours ago.

As a Boards of Canada fan, I will stick with them on this topic. I listen to BoC because I think their music is some of the most beautiful sounds I've ever experienced, so I would have to go with Macquarie Ridge or Corsair.

Lichen by Aphex Twin is up there for me as well
