Just wanted to let you know that I haven't skipped a single BoCcast thus far.
Not do I only like the stuff you are talking about but I like the passion and humor you do this with. Some ideas are far fetched but you can easily pull this off.
I don't hear like half the stuff you hear, even if you play it 2 times but that doesn't matter. You make it sound like it really is there so you kind of convince me with your enthousiasm
.
Cheers Mikey!

I can't believe I never noticed the Satellite Anthem Icarus thing. And it's not even on bocpages!
Also, the "is that a matter of fact?" sample is absolutely spot on, a lot of the samples you pick out I really struggle to hear, but that one is such a good find.
I've also spent hours before now trying to hear the "satellite anthem" being whispered in SAI but I just cannot make it out.
Again, great job. I struggle to understand how anyone can dislike this album as I definitely think it's my favourite.
p.s. I'm not sure how fruitful the Trans Canada Highway EP is for hidden gems, but you should consider doing a boccast for it!

I have come to the devastating realisation that boc songs are wasted on my 40 yr old tinnitus ears, thoroughly enjoyable though just wish I had treated my ears better growing up, take heed people.BrunchTime wrote:Episode 5 is up and it's red hot. Get ready, more nearly-inaudible samples and armchair-intellectual analyses await, this time from The Campfire Headphase. Enjoy!
That backwards vignette actually sounded kind of like Open The LightBrunchTime wrote:Episode 5 is up and it's red hot. Get ready, more nearly-inaudible samples and armchair-intellectual analyses await, this time from The Campfire Headphase. Enjoy!
Saw a blind man walking down the street
Greets every person he chanced to meet
Saw a cop write a ticket to a man over fifty
Fell over laughing screaming he was a hippie
Ran into a granny had a smile on her face
Broke a trophy she just won in a race
Don't worry about the future
Forget about the past
Whether it's good or bad
It's a gas
Greets every person he chanced to meet
Saw a cop write a ticket to a man over fifty
Fell over laughing screaming he was a hippie
Ran into a granny had a smile on her face
Broke a trophy she just won in a race
Don't worry about the future

Hey thanks everyone, really appreciate the kind words

It's not a waste, man! Think of it as... extra subliminal. As long as you're enjoying it, that's all that matters!realspiel wrote: I have come to the devastating realisation that boc songs are wasted on my 40 yr old tinnitus ears, thoroughly enjoyable though just wish I had treated my ears better growing up, take heed people.

I finally got around to reversing Campfire tonight. First time I've heard Farewell Fire backwards and it's a bit emotional. That loooooooooong draw out outro is just mindblowing backwards.

What's really cool about Audacity is that you can amplify the sound. Thus, you can hear Farewell Fire in its entirety backwards. It sounds great. It's such an awesome song- "fun's over, boys, time for adulthood".Mexicola wrote:Finally caught up. Another great listen, cheers.

Agreed. I'd tried that a while back. Love the little changes in the track hidden after the fade out. Such a simple idea, but really well executed. Totally fits with the story of it being recorded in the wee hours too. The thought of them playing this in the middle of nowhere at 3 in the morning is just incredible.Najlepsiejszy wrote:What's really cool about Audacity is that you can amplify the sound.
