Man, we need some kind of alternative vote system for this one - these are so good I can't pick just one! :?

Long shadow's the best because it isn't generic.

So many amazing artworks ! I'd say every one is beautiful, but if I have to choose one, probably this would be Perch.

I was torn between LongShadows and DaveJ. Voted DaveJ in the end, cos even though I *love* LongShadows design, I can't help feel like the hexagons, the 666 and everything, is sort of BoC's symbols, you know?

Is that not the point? To be inspired by Boards of Canada, everyone's favorite band on these forums?

to be inspired is one thing, overt usage of boc symbolism is another thing entirely.

don't get me wrong, longshadows' design is awesome on its own. i feel that davej's design best fits in with the oot series as a whole.
you may think that you have not been programmed, but you have.

Yes, but long shadow artwork is the only one that doesn't have the generic nature artwork all the others have. I'm not undermining anyone's work here, for they're all awesome, but the nature theme has been overdone.[/list]

A close run thing between a few of them. Dave J got my vote though. A very tasteful design, and I like trees, almost enough to make me wanna hug me some.

y'see I disagree, I feel that there's already sort of an overaching theme in the artworks. If they were all radically different then I'd agree but I think there's a standard and DaveJ's art works well at exploring the boundaries set by what has already been before, but still being original and different.

I think GH hit it on the head when he said "tasteful"

that and my contribution, if it has or has not been accepted, fits #1 more than #3 more, in my opinion. :p
