the death of any of my loved ones as ive been lucky enough not to lose any yet. being cheated on.

swimming with an object above me or through a tunnel.

irrational.....i fucking despise meringue. it makes my teeth hurt just thinking about it.

OH and i break into a sweat watching this kind of stuff
Death of loved ones has always been on the list. I've lost a few-- yes, it definitely sucks. I never feared being cheated on, but once it happened I realized what a gigantic kick to the balls it is. Not looking forward to it again, that's for sure.

Not sure how irrational this is, but I worry about not having as much time with my daughter as I'd like and (here's the crazy bit) never seeing my grandkids.

She's coming up to 2 years old and I turned 40 last December. My mother passed away aged just 68. The irrational part of me thinks if I went at the same age, I'd be gone before she's in her thirties. Can't help thinking that I left it too late to have kids and that one day I'll regret it.

Ridiculous really. I mean, what's the point in worrying so much now that I spoil the present? Not that I let it get to me that much, but sometimes, y'know... yeah, it bothers me.

A good friend of mine in pretty much the same boat as you said a very similar thing to me not too long ago. The world is small, the feelings universal.

i have the same worries. i'm only 19 and don't plan on reproducing for a very long time but i have lots of maternal instincts and can't wait to love my children for a really long time. i love that my mom and i are only 21 years apart because i know i will have plenty more time with her. i'm just betting on the fact that i will live to be super duper old and possibly even see great-grandchildren haha.

i didnt use to give it a second thought, but after not expecting it the first time and then wasting 3 years getting over someone who deep down i knew was a complete prick the whole time anyway, i cant imagine how id cope the second time with someone more special by far :/

I experienced it with a girl I was going to marry. A girl I still have an incredible connection with, yet with whom I share little values with. It would have been my second marriage...oh well. fuck it. It sucks.

Nothing is real, btw. Hehe. I went from doing what the Russians do in those videos, to fearing leaving my bed. Things can change so quickly.

On occasion I have nightmares where human beings are a mere combination of limbs, eyes, body parts, all in wrong locations. That freaks me the fuck out.

And sometimes I have sleep paralysis, where I would hear incredibly loud noises in my ear, and I'm too afraid to look, so I close my eyes and endure the loud noise. One time I heard a chorus of men shouting, "OOH YAH! OOH YAH!" over and over again.

OH!

yeah when I was with my ex I used to get sleep paralysis and hallucinate that she was trying to kill me LMAO. unhealthy probably.

but you also reminded me of a nightmare I had once where I kicked a bird... pigeon or something... to death because it was flying up at my face and shit but it caused me to have a major panic attack and just spaz out uncontrllably screaming and shit (in the dream). woke up with the cold sweats after that one hah.

ive just remembered something else that scares me. my neighbour is strange old lady. EVERY SINGLE TIME i wash dishes, she starts washing dishes. this has been an ongoing experiment and she will join in at all hours. its creepily awkward.

I have a lot of existential fears, but I don't think anyone here wants to hear about that.

The thought of wide open sea, giant spiders on my head, and opening the door to find something on the other side can strike fear into me in an instant, but I'd hardly call that irrational.

An irrational anxiety of mine would have to be of sexual intercourse outside of pornographic media (and even then the line between erotic and horror can blur easily). I'm not kidding when I say that I've had a moment only slightly less dramatic than this:
