Even if Warp were the main driving force behind the TH promotion (I agree that they most likely were too), it was still a hell of a lot more imaginative than if this turned out to be true, sure they would at least try to make thing a bit more exciting and original, especially given the hype surrounding TH's release.
It's hard to say. It worked before, why not do it again? It is a business, and by the looks of it one image alone is already generating 'buzz'. TH would never have charted as high as it did without the campaign. Warp sold a lot of albums to the people that just wanted to hear what the hype was all about. It got the hipsters and yuppies all giddy, not to mention the cultists like ourselves. And guess what-- as lame as using the same shtick twice is, I'm excited again.

I hear what you're saying man, and it worked before for sure, I think that was down to not knowing where the clues would lead fans and the excitement and mystery of the chase. I don't see them re-using stuff, and in a less imaginative way as before, myself. But I could be wrong. I hope they would at least try to be a bit creative again if they were to follow the same kind of promotion though. But realistically, I don't have any faith in this one personally.

Just saying A hexagonal dome can be found on the @boctransmissions page and a strikingly similar antenna appears in Tomorrow's harvest CD booklet...

Wasn't TH rumoured to be a double album at first? Maybe we can still hope for a second part.

n.b. it's not that they "most likely were"; it's that they "were" (remember that article that came out about the 2 warp marketer dudes?)

Personally, I got the impression with the TH build-up, that BoC themselves weren't exactly key orchestrators. They are the musicians-- but their output is being managed and presented by others, esp. on the marketing front.

It's not like I'm hedging my bets on this one, but the BoC elements ring way to loud for me to dismiss it. So...

*Snufkin plays his hand*

...methinks this one is BoC related

And, FYI, me saying that appeared to be my 666th post...

Call me crazy but, you know, maybe the devil is in the details...

Agree man, but I like to think boc had a decent say in it though, maybe not though at all. Out of it all, I thought the clue here on Twoism and the Soundcloud one were pretty cool and clever, and were the stand-out ones, think maybe boc played a part in that. But I know it was a Warp deal. Even so, the whole thing, and each individual piece, seems a lot more clever than just a tweet of an obviously boc-like image, so I think if something new was on its way, they would try make it a bit more interesting, especially as it worked last time.

This raises one question. Why else would Adult Swim promote something like this?

Interestingly, it's exactly one year to the day since the Adult Swim transmission was announced on the Toonami tumblr:

I was sceptical of this whole thing until I read this (insert "it's happening!" gif here)

For a little while I was actually concerned about my not being by my laptop tonight in case it's a live event, as tickets would no doubt be gone in seconds. However, assuming this thing is BOC related, I think all UK / non-US fans can safely assume it won't be a gig as Adult Swim is a US network. (why announce a UK gig somewhere unseeable by UK fans?)

they have our attention. seems like a clear heads-up so we are there to catch what they drop.

think about the hashtags on both pics and the content of each. a/s posted two pictures over the last few days which feature both of the devices seen in the boctransmission background image. they've had us combine two files into one before.

An "upfront" isn't a TV show, it's an event that TV networks have when they announce their lineups of new shows for the season or whatever. Kanye West played AS' upfront last year:

http://www.billboard.com/biz/articles/1 ... rs-upfront

So, it's easy to combine that tweet, AS' relationship with BoC/Warp along with their event from last year and let your imagination run a little too wild. It's almost too much to hope for.

Following rabbit holes...

http://users.aber.ac.uk/atc/tlp/Edinburgh.htm

^ a list of observations of the moon conducted in Edinburgh referencing red-moon activity. Found when searching "Illumination Only" (I didn't initially read the hashtag as relating to Illuminati but Illumination, and then I mis-typed the full thing in Google search and stumbled onto this; opening both the words up).

No doubt complete bullshit. But it's interesting how easily rabbit holes form... :)

BoC recorded almost 100 songs for Geogaddi and chose the final songs based on how well they fit with the feel of the album.
Perhaps they might release a few of those unreleased songs as an EP? They might be absolute genius, but weren't released.
