New Telefon Tel Aviv and side project record

For fans of TTA's previous three albums: after conversing with Josh Eustis for a while over Twitter and email (he's pleasantly easy to get a hold of), I have discovered that there is more material coming. For a while he released a string of Telefon remixes but there wasn't ever another LP after Charlie's death.

As it turns out, Josh has finished an LP he had been working on quite a bit from 2007 - 2010 or so and in 2013 around the time of the NIN Tension tour in 2013 where he was a bassist and played various string instruments for their live band, presumably adding the finishing touches in his free time on the tour bus.

His new project will be called "Sons of Magdalene" and not a lot of info has been given regarding the sound. It's apparently titled "Move To Pain" and it will be releasing in June according to him via the TTA twitter, Bleep who I believe is managing the merchandise of the physical copies and the official site. This record is finished, and he has confirmed on a few occasions that Telefon Tel Aviv and its traditional style will be his primary focus for the next record.

As a big fan, this makes me pretty happy.

From just this track, this new sound seems considerably different. Some sort of synth heavy Big Black Delta-esque track with Immolate Yourself-era vocal layering.

Wow what a track! Very reminiscent of the Immolate era TTA which was my personal favourite! Thanks for posting this.
I have known about the existence of Sons of Magdalene since 2008 when this came out but I've yet to actually hear it: http://www.discogs.com/Sons-Of-Magdalen ... se/1955448

Do you have this CDr? There are also two tracks on compilations from more recently according to Discogs.

No, I don't. From what I understand Josh sat on a lot of the material for a long time, reluctant to release much if any of it. I don't know where one would find that. There's an excerpt of one of the tracks here: http://antigravitybunny.blogspot.com/20 ... emera.html

If it's not just one of the comp. tracks with an alternate title, he probably got it off Josh when he sold them on MySpace himself. It says they were limited to 100 but I think I'll ask him if he has any of the CDr's left - probably not.

It's interesting to hear old material published under this moniker sounding very "Disintegration Loops"-esque, with the new stuff being way more like Immolate Yourself material.

Immolate Yourself is probably the best electronic album with vocals ever, IMO. Very cool to hear, looking forward to it
