I just received my 3rd and final shipment from Warp, and I can say that I'm finally happy with all of my pressings. I was sent new copies of Geogaddi twice before they finally just sent me the fixed 3rd LP. I was supposed to receive the fixed version of Twoism, but initially got sent the same original faulty pressing. And my "fixed" version of Trans Canada had its own issues. But another shipment showed up the other day, and now I'm happy.

A huge shout out to Warp for handling a bad situation well. Even though I bought all the albums and EPs, I can't imagine they ended up making any money from me with all the new copies and shipping they had to pay for.

Same here homie, haven't listened to mine. Been at school, record player was being fixed up, whatever the reason. What's worse, most of my records were from Amoeba, NOT Bleep.

If there's any defects, I'm probably boned at this point.

if you re-order some spares from bleep, i wonder will they send you out the new batch or try to flog the old batch to new unsuspecting customers? i was thinking of ordering spares, but i'll be checking them matrix numbers when they get here. i did ask them and they said, everything has been replaced with corrected vinyls. so... they unsealed all the geogaddis and swapped that E/F side??? it will be fired right back at them if they send me old stock.

on that note, i just got around to comparing the original Geogaddi with the repress. I might take photos and put them up here side by side for anyone interested and has never seen a 'real' one.
quite a difference and tbh i prefer the old cover artwork, its... more 70s, nostalgic in colour tone yet the new one is so vibrant and punchy yet darker. the text is tighter, crisper print on the reissue, just by a margin. i dont think this is how they envisioned it to be reprinted, the cds and promo geogaddi posters are all orangey red like the original vinyl, nowhere like the repress. unless warp decided to make it different - one of the new inner sleeves is shall we say 'exclusive' to the repress, the artwork is not on the original vinyl press. The etching is also larger than the original. all of the inner sleeves of repress are poorly dark and the back cover 'blue' is very drab :/. they must surely have intended to make it different, not just physically with the different triple fold. the 2 front covers are miles apart.

sorry, but i love Geogaddi, its me fave, its full of wonder and all its artwork.

the original 180gm weight is actually not much heavier than the repress which is actually 160gm anyway like the repressing for all the albums last november were hitting 160gm weight. all corrected versions are now 140gm, odd i know. i think the E/F corrected press for 2014 is still about 160gm though.

I finally got a copy of the fixed Campfire Headphase. I am impressed with the sound quality. I never had the messed up copy, so this is my first listen of any repress of this. The vinyl does not seem flimsy to me and is a decent weight.

One thing I did notice was a slight thumping noise at the start of Ataronchronon. I wouldn't call it a pop, as it's much less pronounced, but it's a soft bump once every revolution that stops as the track takes over.

Twoism pressing quality was horrible, vinyl slightly cutoff the center, with leftovers of plastics on the edge of the disc, but sound quality was ok.

And yeah, Trans Canada Highway was very good quality pressing and the sound quality also!

I cannot check the sound quality because I am not living at home, where my record player is. In my situation, the best way to know whether you got a good copy or not is by checking the Matrix / Runout number, right?

For the "weight watchers" among us, I weighted the original 2013 repressings (ORP) and the new 2014 rerepressing (RRP).

Here are the results:

From my side:

Maybe I am unlucky, but at least one or two tracks from each side of every LP except for Music has the right has distortion causing a clipping, static sound.

All of them except MHTRTC have a certain amount of surface noise which cannot be dust, as it was there from first play.

It seems to me that Music has the right is a perfect pressing, no issues.

Warp sent a batch with replacements. This is what really p****d me off: TCHP is perfect except for severe warping, making it unplayable! TCH has the same issue. So both those releases need to be resent. Twoism is ok now. I have yet to test IABPOITC.

They sent a copy of Geogaddi from the original run of represses, distortion and all.

How can this be so difficult to get right? I understand that the first batch was the pressing plant's fault, but this second bit seems purely up to them.

I never wanted a three for one deal with shoddy stock. All I wanted was one perfect pressing of each release from my favourite band.

Yeah, I'm also disappointed by some of represses, Twoism is one ugly pressing, it almost hurts.

yea i noted those weights on here few months back, perhaps not exactly same as yours but were in around and obviously lighter which made me think the 140gms were flimsy on the RRPs but were in fact meant to be whereas the oct 2013 pressings were heavier than 140gms which misled many of us. noticeable weight difference on the LP1 and LP2 of Campfire, no wonder it was the worse of the batch if they got the 2 sides way out. The original Geogaddi from years back is lighter than 180gm as well, about 176gm so not much difference in weight on the new ones really considering theyre still heavier than the other albums - different pressing plant as well.

Ah man I just got TCH from a record shop and Tears From The Compound Eye skips like crazy, there's some awful distortion all over Slow This Bird Down and a massive scratch right through Farewell Fire, I know I didn't get it from Bleep but is there any hope of getting a replacement?

You can try, but I suspect you'll need to return to the store.

This problem doesn't go away does it???
